We are so glad that we read the amazing reviews of this restaurant prior to our visit. We loved it so much that we visited twice! We were very impressed with the food, especially the bacon and the pie. The pie is even house-made without use of low quality sweeteners i.e. corn syrup. Everything was very reasonably priced. The setting was cozy, and the staff was kind. The food came out fast for a restaurant as well. We only wish we left with more pie! We can't wait to visit again on our next Dells trip, whenever it may be. Keep up the fantastic food and experiences!
The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. Also incredibly clean. Despite being busy on Sunday afternoon, it was still spacious with no wait time. The service was incredible. Our server was a lovely woman with black hair, who helped us clean up a water spill. Her friendly demeanor made the embarrassing situation much better. We never went without drinks or being checked on, and although we were taking up time she never showed frustration. Very kind and hospitable service. I got the chicken fried steak with baked Mac and cheese and garlic potatoes. My party got pulled pork and a sandwich. My meal was more like eating a plate of different textures, rather than a flavorful comfort food meal. I had to add hot sauce. I could not taste garlic in the potatoes, or much of the steak due to an excess of flavorless breading. If I concentrated I could taste the cheese on the mac. The pulled pork tasted amazing and I definitely wish I had gotten that instead. Overall, great place to go if you get the right thing!
Not enough stars, best breakfast ever. Portion size, well put it this way, if you plan on cleaning your plate you better man up. Did I clean my plate? Well put it this way u wasn't hungry 7 hours later. I ordered the Three Deuces, with eggs, bacon and french toast. The server, suggested the cinnamon bread for the French toast. It should be the only choice. My word was it good. I traded my wife one piece for a pancake. Which is big thick and fluffy. The bacon was thick and smoked. Sorry I did not take pictures of the meal, I was hungry. Now, if that was not already enough. They have pie, we are talking real pie. Fresh apples, not canned. If that is not your flavor, there are several other kinds.
We chose this restaurant based on ratings, and it sure did not disappoint! The Log Cabin theme was beautiful! The food was delicious! The hash brown casserole was very good! They are surely known for their pancakes and pies! Worth the drive from Wisconsin Dells. Daisha our server was very welcoming and suggested great items on the menu! One last thing...quality food at a very affordable price! Vegetarian options: Veggie omelet, hash browns and much more Kid-friendliness: The biggest kid lunch menu I've seen
Definitely made a great decision on where to go for breakfast while out of town this last weekend! Service was excellent, environment was super cozy, and food was absolutely great! Got there later morning, were told 5-10 minute wait - 2 mins later we got sat at a table by our waitress, took our drink order and we got them almost instantly. Menu selection was tough - I was hoping for an eggs Benedict, which they didn't have, but they had some other really good choices! We got our food timely. The biscuits and gravy was so good, eggs and side of bacon was done fantastically and the French toast was pretty dang good! Very happy with our breakfast restaurant decision!
What's best here.. atmosphere, food, service? All 5 stars!! Or the homemade Cinnamon rolls? But then the muffin looked really good too ...or home-made bread? Everything on the menu is great! We go there and take pictures of the food and tease our parents! Never had a bad meal there, or saw anything go by that doesn't look delicious! And PIES!!! Did I mention the great pies!! Wow a must if you're around Baraboo!
Fantastic homemade food. Fun/beautiful cabin decor. Friendly staff. Beautiful and delicious bakery such as homemade breads and pies. One thing I would change would be the acoustics. It's very loud. All the peoples voices are overstimulating.Food: 5/5
I visit about two times per month for breakfast. The waitresses always do an excellent job and are the highlight of the experience!!! My go to menu items are the three deuces meal and coffee. Their pancakes or french toast are always great! I get the bacon instead of sausage. Nice thick strips of bacon!Food: 4/5
I had brunch / lunch here with a group of five before our hike at Devil's Lake State Park. I tried the mashed potato bowl with chicken - yum! It seemed to be a friendly family restaurant. I am not local but we had a decent experience here. For anyone visiting Devils Lake State Park, this is a nice option before or after your park trip. We had an issue with bees throughout our lunch, but that is to be expected while sitting on the outdoor patio in August.
Love everything about this place! Nice food, coffee, bread and pies! Been here many times, it is one of the best places when we just want to enjoy great food and chill.
