Story

Across from the entrance to the historic Soo Locks, the Lock View isn't just for tourists. Local people regard our whitefish as the best, with our saying "the fish you eat today.. slept last night in Whitefish Bay". We prepare our whitefish and walleye dinner's six different ways: pan-fried, broiled, deep-fried, cajun, cajun- deepfried and lemon pepper. We are family friendly, have two floors of seating and can accommodate large groups! Stop in and see us!

We had a very nice lunch at the Lockview restaurant after recommendation some several of the locals. The restaurant was very clean inside with a retro feel with an emphasis on the locks and ships. Unfortunately, the upstairs was closed so we couldn’t see the locks very well from our table.nnThey have a pretty extensive menu and they definitely specialize in local fish. I opted for the lake superior whitefish dinner with side of broccoli and house salad. I asked for the fish to be broiled. My wife got the Reuben with a side of fries.nnSide salad was fresh and excellent portion. My fish plate came out hot. I was surprised how big the fillet was and it tasted excellent. Nice, tender and perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed her Reuben and also.nnOur server was courteous and prompt, and checked up on us regularly. After placing our order, the food came out relatively quickly.nnVery good service very good food and a nice atmosphere. I’d recommend this place.
Salute Ste Marie MI - stooped after visits the Locks. Our hotel recommended it. GREAT food, price point is fair, service was good. We got a window seat great for people watching, you don’t actually get to watch the locks; the trees and park area obstruct the view.nnI highly recommend the Cajun shrimp, huge, absolutely PERFECT. This is one of the Crown Jewels of Sault Ste. Marie, which is a gorgeous UP town absolutely worth the drive.
Great food in a neat place across from Soo Locks! Loved the decorations inside. We had fish, fries, poutine, rice and broccoli. Service was good, staff is friendly.
Sadie was amazing. Wonderful food great view. Cheese curds for the Win here.
Brooke was the best waitress we've had on our trip! So friendly and attentive. The perch basket was also the best fish I've had in the UP but whew was this a pricey meal! The bathrooms were also very sketchy and needed updating including the fact that there is only one stall.
