Let me revise my review so that the focus won’t be on the price. The Local Burger has two patties which are juicy and tasty. The sautéed mushroom and onion add colors to the burger. However, the bun brings down the overall experience. If they can use a different bun with better looking and texture, it’ll be worth the price. I’ll give them a four-star instead.
We will not return again. Let down after spending almost $70 for a family of 4. The Local Burger was the most awful burger we ever had , we threw out a $14.99 burger which doesn’t come with fries. It wasn’t cooked well done as we requested and tasted like lighter fluid. I am unsure if it was just us as people were eating the burgers. This was our first time here so maybe it was worth the $ before. I will say the fries were good however you can get good fries in many locations in Keene like Fitz. The chicken was so-so. We wouldn’t recommend here to anyone we liked. It was also a very long wait which I understand as staff looked like they are working hard and the place was busy. So everyone was eating at different times. It never fun to share negative review.
We walked in 10 till close we were on the road traveling up the coast we asked if it was ok to order still and we were greeted with such kindness. Even the cooks were over the top polite! Food: Mac and cheese bites with chipotle ketchup- OUT OF THIS WORLD yummy. The ketchup was the best sauce I have ever had. A small order of deliciously thick sweet potato wedges were heavenly served with MAPLE MAYONNAISE. The portion size was great for sharing! Again, I say.. best dip ever. The Buffalo chicken wrap was gigantic! Classic taste, not too spicy. And my bf ordered the chicken tenders. Absolutely incredible batter. We were so pleased with with everything we ate. And equally as pleased with the people there!!! We decided we will always detour through Keene so we can eat here.
Delicious fresh-cooked food on demand! I LOVE Local Burger. The Juicy Lucy if for sure worth the cook time wait. Friendly and helpful staff make dining in enjoyable, but takeout is super easy too online ordering!. My only suggestion for improvement would be to implement a second checkout/internet order pickup station. Waiting in line for 20 people to place orders while my order sits ready in the window can be frustrating.
For reference, this basket of onion rings is sitting on an 8x10 magazine. They are huge! And they are fried with batter made with baking soda so that the batter is really light and fluffy and fried to perfection. Burgers are spot on with so many different options. You know how sometimes you're craving a burger and then when you get one it's just like "meh". Not this place. Today I had the bada bing Burger. A perfectly cooked all beef burger on toasted focaccia with mozzarella roasted red peppers and a pesto mayo. They also have the best hot dogs and shakes on the planet. Not the best place to go if you're counting calories but you will not walk out of there disappointed or hungry.
Amazing amazing. This is by far my entires families favorite place for a quick meal and has been for years. Even when I had my baby in the hospital, my dad picked me up food from here the day after . Captain crunch chicken tenders are to die for with ANY of their sauce options.
Casual burger joint, with excellent burgers at reasonable prices. While technically a chain only three locations, others are in MA, it doesn't feel like one, with interesting offerings and a laid-back vibe. There's also beer on tap available. Fries are *excellent* - and there's malt vinegar if you like it! My spouse and I love it, as do our kids. When we are in Keene, we try to stop by! Kid-friendliness: Casual so kid friendly, though welcoming for adults too
Burgers are great. But they don't come with fries, gotta order those extra.Food: 5/5
The Westhampton burger is the best burger I've ever had! We ordered burgers, a side of onion rings, and a side of sweet potato fries. Great atmosphere and staff and burger art! A++++ Vegetarian options: I think next time I'll try their veggie burger. I'm feeling guilty about eating so much meat, but these burgers are so darn good.
Whenever we visit our son at Keene State, Local Burger is a required stop. The burgers are always amazing, and the fresh hand-cut fries are addictive. The staff is always friendly, which is extra commendable given the fact that it is always so busy. Local Burger should always considered when you're looking for a good meal!
