Their steak on a bun is excellent, but they lack topping such as roasted onions & jalapeños. They tend to not have salads very often. The server is not always friendly.
Really good turkey subs and the best burgers I've ever had, and who ever makes the pizza is really good at his job, and great customer service from the nice gentleman and two young teenage girls.

We really enjoyed the cranky service from the cashier we received when visiting two years in a row. The consistency is second to none. Food was edible.
2022 updated review... I've been there twice in 3 weeks because I was craving a sub. Different staff each time. Great service and great sub each time. Decent amount of fresh toppings. Definately better than a chain sub.
Its not a half bad place to go. The food was, in my opinion, slightly below par. Having gotten a lukewarm burger that looked slightly above the quality of a McDonalds burger but tasted pretty good. The seating felt fairly cramped and almost like I was in the way of other people ordering. The saving grace being the friendly staff. I don't think I will go out if my way to visit again but if you want to get a quick bite to eat on the way through town its not a bad stop.
I have stop at johnnys many times over 25 years ,it use to be a good place to stop and the food and prices were good. Over the last 5 years or so the food has been very bad and prices are very high.our last visit will be our last all of us got sick from the food.
At first I thought my turkey sub was straight up missing the turkey but upon further inspection I found 2 slices.
First time there there was no thank you or you're welcome. They almost seemed annoyed to have our business. And the pizza sub they gave us was cold.
