Too many 5 stars to believe in ratings. Like they say, discount all the 5 stars and 1 stars it is the ones remaining that count. They food was okay, the service needs work. The area of town is sketchy at best, don't walk to far in some directions. Small portions for the price. I don't mind paying for good food, but not $4 per 100g. Coffee was okay, but having spent some time in Italy I don't have high expectations anywhere in Canada. Two lunches, pastry and beverage a $50 bill. Would be more suited to $35 with tip (if they earn it).

The baked goods here are second to none. The sandwiches, though tasty, are very much overpriced, considering how small they are. They used to be larger, and I could justify the $10 for them, however, I can no longer recommend the sandwiches since they shrunk them. Definitely go for the baked goods, though. You won't regret it.

it seems like it would be a nice little café but the biggest downside is that they have half the entire café set aside for 'reserve seating' when I went there the unreserved was full and they said theres no room for you to sit because the only seats that are open are for people who 'reserved' and I looked over to the reserved section that was blocked off and there was literally no one sitting at those tables and everyone in line behind me got the same message. its a terrible set-up. I highly suggest to take away the 'reserved seating' or arrange to open it if no one booked a certain table so that actual paying customers can actually sit down and enjoy their food and time there AND so that they don't feel like a burden the way I did and probably all the customers behind me who had the same experience
