I wish I had read the previous review before using them a second time to fix an absurd $9000 issue with the state of mich because they are spot on. I came to Lara in April with a statement I received. She looked everything over and said it would be no big deal. A month went by and I heard nothing so I called. I received a call back from Micheal who needed a me to come up and sign a poa and get some other info. Any time I had questions, he said he would ask Lara so I assumed he was assisting her. They finally finished in June. I paid what was asked and I just got back another statement from mich saying I owed another $1800. I called to speak with Lara, and the VERY rude and condescending secretary (every time) said she was not the one who prepared the work. Being that I am very sensitive (and voiced this from day one to Lara) with who does our tax accounting, I was very upset! Apparently Lara was just "to busy" and my issue wasn't in her interest so she just passed me along for micheal to do. She says he is highly qualified, but if that is the case, why is he "not so busy" and why is this not resolved as I feel it should have been!? I requested Lara look into what was wrong and two days later I get a certified letter stating they are terminating their services. Called Lara, who was not in the office when I came and she claimed I was in there screaming. Huge over exaggeration! I really don't think they would be willing to copy the statement and double check power of attorney if that was the case! The communication in all this was disgusting! She should have called or let me know from day 1 she couldn't do the work! I guess she's too good to pick up the phone and a termination letter is more her thing. Maybe our money isn't green enough for them! Who knows! Back to square one for us!

I went to this place for several years, although the office staff often has been unfriendly and downright rude. Finally, I caught my former accountant and two office staff members in lies and a different account did my taxes the last time I patronized them. The accountant who did my taxes before that at Liske and Massey had missed deductions and the last time that I was there, I was treated like crap by the office staff- by one person in particular. She also proceeded to treat other clients in the office like garbage and I called to complain about her as well. I was not the only one who did. A vital piece of my tax preparation paperwork also turned up missing while in the office and had to be processed again. This is vital information with social security numbers, names, addresses, workplaces, etc, etc. They refused to acknowledge their mistake, yet put blame on each other. Ridiculous, unprofessional, overpriced, and cavalier with sensitive information and clients paying for professional tax services by a qualified C.P.A. firm. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
