This store is the epitome of garbage employees and staff. They will not pricematch anything. They refused to pricematch juice because it wasnt alcohol, and liquor because I didnt have a printed flyer. Their pricematch policy online states I need to show it advertised or a receipt. They refuse to use their branded gift cards as tender. Where else would I use it. I wish upper management knew just how bad and lazy these employees are . I've been there at least 5 times recently, and I honestly would prefer getting my teeth pulled at the dentist
Cashiers looked at me like I was a funny looking zoo animal. I understand I look young but you can ask to I.D me, instead of staring at a customer like he's a funny looking monkey. Been to many different liquor stores and nobody has ever mocked me like this. Their prices are more expensive than other stores, and the workers have no manners. No point in coming here.
It is ridiculous that an adult cannot paid for his older friend's white wine. The crazy staff insisted that my friend from Germany to pay for his own wine. My friend from Germany wanted to buy a bottle of white wine after dinner last night. We went there at about 9:30pm. It was good to know that it was senior special day. My friend is a senior. The staff asked for the ID. My friend showed him the ID from Germany. I wanted to buy for my friend. I took out my credit card but the staff didn't want my credit card. He needed my friend to paid. My friend has no Canadian money in his pocket so I gave $25 to my friend to pay for it. He said he needs my friend's money. He insisted he didn't want the money from my wallet. My cousin that came with us paid for the wine. My German friend didn't use his own money to pay!. That crazy staff just don't want me to pay for this transaction. I understand the law is prohibited the minor to buy liquor through the help of an adult. It is obvious that this is a case of an adult buying the wine for a senior friend. I should be happy that the crazy staff still thinking I am a minor at the age of 53! It gives a very bad first impression to a German tourist about the Liquor Depot.
Me and my girlfriend went in there one day. my girlfriend didn't have ID so she was not allowed to enter the store. so she waited at the entrance behind the security bars . I went into the store to make a purchase. then a staff member came to my girlfriend to ask her to leave the premise. it was a really cold raining day outside , So she asked if she can wait by the entrance door because she didn't have jacket. the answer was a very cold "NO", and the staff member was walking towards her try to get her out. there were other staff member in the store and they see everything. no one said anything. My girlfriend was upset so was I. we left the store immediately. I can understand you have your policies. But what happen to general rapport and basic compassion? I am speechless to this business conduct, if you can call this a business conduct. so, please take it easy. We'll never walk into your premise again.
Good selection of beers, spirits and wines. Staff is not helpful, was really rude. A staff member took my beer from my hands then went on asking for i.d before I got to the till. First time I’ve seen this, usually get id at the till.
People need to look up the liquor laws in bc. Don't get angry at the staff because you and/or your party of friends don't have two pieces of ID. The employees can be fined about $500 for selling to someone without two pieces of ID or selling to someone who is booting. That is posted on the company walls for everyone to see at most liquor depots. Remember they have to follow the liquor depot company rules, they have to ID 40 years or younger it's not a choice they have... its their job.
Rude staff and high prices. Would not sell me a bottle of wine despite me having ID just because my legal-aged girlfriend left her wallet and ID in the car. Acted like I was trying to buy alcohol for a 5 year old. No reason to go here when there's a decent BC Liquor Store 5 minutes away.
Rude staff. Appalled at the service I received. I am never coming back here. The liquor store at Garden City where the Wal-Mart is is a million times better than here.
