Very well kept park with lovely views. It was a lovely view watching the train go by over the bridge. We had a small community gathering and had ample space. The kids had a lot of ground to explore and had so much fun.
I've walked here twice in the last week! Its so lovely! The rivers right near buy, and you can play pooh sticks on the bride. A st.albert institution. Also there's picnic tables, and you know, other stuff you see in parks. No playgrounds though. Just lovely trees and water. Enjoy!
Great park to take little kids, playground has many different features for the kids to keep busy, bathrooms are decent, there are picnic tables and fire pits, wood is provided there, lots of room for kids to run around. Love it.
Went for the Rock'n August car show and it was awesome. Soo many cars, spent almost 3 hours and didn't even see every car. The farmers market was on as well which had some fantastic vendors, spent a lot more money than I expected.
Lions park is the best place to hang out in the summer days. And they allow alcohol consumption in the park from 10am to 11pm.. and they have washrooms.
Lions park has everything - play spaces for various ages, outdoor exercise equipment, fire pits and picnic shelters, bathrooms, walking paths throughout that connect to the rest of St Albert, river views, access to the library/museum/city buildings... Great place for an afternoon/evening with friends or a bike ride through to downtown.
We had a staff farewell picnic there at lunchtime and it was a very pleasant atmosphere.
