Tara was our server for the first time here. She was fantastic, patient, and knowledgeable. We sat next to the lizard town motif. Good music good lighting going into early dark outside. The dinners we ordered lasted us 2 days. We got the pick 3 platters, awesome ribs, great tasting brisket, the chili is hot as it claims yum. Oh.. and appetizer pretzels. I will order those EVERY time.
Came in close to closing and still had a great experience, cant find that many places. The fried green tomatoes were phenomenal! I'm from the south so THANK YOU! Definitely can't wait until my budget can afford another visit! Appreciate the large portions!
This was the first time my fiance and I have been to any of the Limp Lizards, and it was a great experience! The staff was very friendly, and the food was fast and delicious! He had the Big Nasty with greens and Spanish rice, and I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Great job everyone! We'll definitely be coming back soon!
This was more of a local bar with a restaurant on the side. The downside was that the bar was right there at the dining room part that was open, so it was noisy and made it difficult to hear others. There was a pretty good beer selection, which was nice. The other side away from the bar wasn't open for service when we went. The food was okay, but nothing I would rush to try again. We started with the Buffalo dip that had a nice spice like it should and was creamy. However, the chips were stale. I didn't say anything until the end, so I'm not sure if they had fresh ones. We also got the fried tomatoes, which came with a nice dipping sauce. Daughter 1 got the Mac and cheese with fries - good but not great. Son 1 got the beef taco, which he devoured and had a good taco spice to it. Son 2 for the wrap, which was very good. Daughter 2 for the burnt ends sandwich, which again was very good. Wife got the 2 meat combo with the ribs and wings, collard greens, and cole slaw. Meats were smoky and cooked just right. Add a side of the blueberry wing sauce, and you won't be disappointed. However, the collard greens are frozen and lack any real flavor. The cole slaw was vinegar and poppy seed base. I got the 3 meat common combo with the half chicken, pulled pork, and brisket with mashed and baked beans. Again, the meats are cooked correctly. The basic bbq sauce was flavorful. Downside was the mashed are boxed potatoes - no flavor again, just like the collard greens. The baked beans were fantastic. Service was very good, attentive, and pleasant. I don't think we would go back, as Syracuse is close enough with a better variety of restaurants. If you are looking for bbq after doing the drive-through light display, the meats will make you happy, but be careful with the sides.
Service was really good. Staff was super friendly but the food was mediocre at best. The collard greens weren't good at all...my homemade ones are way better and they barely included BBQ sauce on the pulled pork...I had to constantly add more. I wasn't impressed.Dine in: Yes
Limp lizard catering my wedding and the were FANTASTIC. The food was delicious, my servers were phenomenal! I LOVE how the bbq sauce was on the side so the meat wasn’t messy at all! Awesome job!
I reluctantly ordered through Grub Hub...as it turned out Grub Hub delivered on time in a very courteous manner. I ordered the Cuban sandwich..with mashed and baked beans as my sides...the sides were great..very little...I know if I ate in the restaurant the sides would have been bigger..or they were in the past...but that's ok. So let's talk about the cuban..I have had that many times before at Limp Lizard..but never like I got tonight! It was pulled pork...with a slab of deli ham and a slab of non melted swiss...It did come with the pickles, mayo and mustard and a fork full of pulled pork...pictures will show you what I mean..If I wanted a ham and swiss sandwich with pickles, mayo and mustard and some pulled pork.. Trust me..I could have done that for a lot less than $17..I do have pics...but as an older person I have to figure out how to share them...I wish I could share the pics that I have but do not know how..lmk. if you can help or are even ..otherwise ..just lmk
The pork ribs and brisket all tasted the same were very tuff and the rib had a horrible flavor the Mac a cheese was so dry and had no flavor half my quesadilla had no meat in it at all the only good thing was the pub pretzel and cheese dip had soft wears salty pretzels and good dip all their other dinner meals were horribly
A great alternative to the always busy and packed Dinosaur BBQ. Great atmosphere overlooking Onondaga lake for better or for worseFood: 5/5
The drink selection was ok. The food was nothing special. The sweet potato fries were as limp as the bar’s namesake, and the fried green tomatoes were soaked in grease, and frankly not that good. The service was good, and it’s the only reason that kept me from rating this place lower. Maybe I came in at a bad time, but I don’t see a reason to come back anytime soon.
