Story

We are a registered charity sitting lake side in the beautiful Rockwood Park. Open year round we offer a wide variety of dishes created by Chef Jared Hogan and his team of talented chefs/cooks. Our desserts are made in house by our French pastry chef and all our soups are home made. In the summer we provide a gorgeous setting on our 100 seat patio looking out over picturesque Lily Lake. We are the perfect destination spot for a comfortable, relaxing meal and drink. See you at the lake!

Lily's is a neat, little place with indoor and outdoor, lakefront seating.  We came here at noon, and it was busy, but we were seated quickly.  Staff are friendly, and our server was polite and attentive.  The drinking water here is very good.  We ordered the Lobster Stuffed Potato Skins and Bacon Wrapped Digby Scallops.  Both seafoods were delicious and full of amazing flavours. The bacon on the scallops was a bit overpowering the other flavours, but once dipped in the butter, it toned down.  Portions were reasonable but pricey, especially for the potato skins.  Everything was good, nice atmosphere and we had an enjoyable, relaxing lunch.
Friendly staff helped with our food allergies and good seafood at reasonable prices. There's an outdoor eating area as well as a small beach. If you have US $, they will accept it at the same price on par as the Canadian dollar, which is nice in a pinch, but also takes a hit on the exchange rate. Gluten free rolls are available.
Definitely worth a 5-star review and a detour next time to the city just for this this place. I ordered Cajun honey salmon and it was excellently prepared. Usually I don't like carrot but finished them all then. They cooked both the veggies and the rice in light stock maybe and got rid of any unpleasant yet natural flavor of the ingredients. I might have to point out the salmon steak is slightly overdone but it might be because of the frozen salmon steak they used. All I want to suggest is they can offer an upgrade to the salmon. Afterall this is Maritimes! My friend ordered a fish tacos. I can see the batter is house-made unlike many others use factory made and very fresh. My friend said it was good too. Hope I can come back again!
The restaurant view is beautiful, we were able to stay in patio right on the Lily Lake with our puppy Coco. We had clam chowder for appetizer, fish &chip, baked seafood. They are all excellent. Most of all I want to mention about the service, Carlo is beyond excellent, he is so friendly, so cheerful, he made us feel like we will want to come back here many more in future just to see his smiling, dog Coco likes him too, more than 5 star for Carlo
