Audrey ? I totally forgot her name she was very friendly! Checks on us every time! The BRISKET is the bomb! I would say it will be their signature food! The potato salad also is a great combination to the brisket! I love that they have spicy sauce!! Portion is big for sharing. We order one set good for 3-4 people!
Very nice BBQ meats there. Ambiance was great with live band and friendly staff. The brisket is a must have but if you're a vegetarian the Mac and cheese is delicious. Worth trying it.
Fantastic evening! Location , service..live entertainment. All great . The brisket is probably one of the best I've had I've tried alot pulls apart with a fork and the margaritas top notch. Highly recommend adding this stop to your trip
This place is flipping incredible! We came for the brisket and we stayed for the live music! We tried the bonanza for 2 and our son had the heart attack mac. Do your taste buds a favor and make a stop here if you are in Tofino! Sam took care of us, and was wonderful and attentive! We will definitely be back :
10/10 I would highly recommend the bonanza for two if you’re in a group of two. We wanted to celebrate our last night in Tofino with a sunset and I wish more people had recommended Lil’ Ronnie’s because it should be #1 for the service awesome staff and incredible meat. Meat sweats were worth it. We took our food to go and brought a blanket to picnic by the beach at sunset. Truly a perfect way to cap off our trip. The ribs were our favourite and we loved the selection of sides beans, potato salad and slaw. The BBQ sauce was *chef’s kiss*. The meat was so tender, the pickles and little add-one were so so good. We’ll be back and recommending you guys to all of our friends and IG followers.
My partner and I visited Lil' Ronnie's on a weekend trip to Tofino. We got quite the spread - brisket, brisket burnt ends, sausage, potato salad and mac and cheese. There was also a live band which was fun did have to pay $15 cover per person. Overall the food was good. The brisket was tender, the sausage was very flavourful and the potato salad was definitely creamy. I found the burnt ends to be a bit tough. We also felt that some of the portions were on the small side. The burnt ends had ~6 pieces and the medium potato salad was only enough for the two of us. Something else I noted was that everything came out on separate plates, all with a variety of sauce, picked veggies, caramelized onions and mustard seeds. From other BBQ restaurants I have been to Texas, Louisiana, Edmonton, Calgary and Victoria, there is typically a metal 'tray' with the meats and then sides are commonly stand-alone. All in all it was a good meal, just not what I envision as a classic BBQ joint. EDIT: Thank you to the response from the owner and clarifying the history of Lil' Ronnies. While the separate plates were not something I'd ever seen at a BBQ joint, it's nice to hear they have maintained a family tradition!
This was one of my favourite dinners in Tofino! The live music was phenomenal, the bbq items brisket, pulled pork were so so tasty and the sides Mac and cheese and beans were really good too! We paid $10 for cover on top of food to cover the costs of the bands that okay while you dine. Apparently it is normally $20 it had been discounted because it was slow on the Sunday. I believe if you go after 8pm there is no longer any cover. Just loved the overall experience here! Bonus is its right by McKenzie beach and so we were able to watch sunset on the beach right afterward.
BBQ Meatfest with a side of potato salad! A carnivore's dream! The meat was delicious. Live music from Mother Sun was a bonus and dog friendly!
Great service, great food. Would definitely go back. We had attack mac, brisket ends and beans. An excellent IPA and a lemonade. Super reasonably priced.
Amazing Mac and Cheese and great night entertainment with local island bands. And only feet away from Mackenzie Beach and other resorts near by
