Parking situation was confusing. I went in, but realized once inside that I needed to move my vehicle. There was a long line up that didn't move for the 5 minutes I was in there. I ended up leaving and going to the Shellington location, which was much more accessible, clean, and comfortable. I was in and out in 15-20 minutes, even without an appointment.
To whomever oversees staffing - they don’t.nThe place is always understaffed. Appointments are always late, walk ins take over an hour, booking is often full for a full month before you can get an appointment.nnThe staff at the location are polite, and professional. They simply need more support. This location has been like this for years there is no reason for it.
Receptionist was friendly and competent. Extremely busy place. I feel bad for them, they get lots of entitled people that don't seem to understand the staff has to follow lifelabs policies. Multiple people wanted to drop off their samples without waiting in line, and then take our their frustration on the staff. Technician who did the bloodwork was also very personable and efficient.nTLDR : If you are a walk-in expect long waiting times, if you are a reasonable human being, you will be treated with kindness and respect.
Elena at the desk was absolutely rude!!! Wouldn't listen after asking me if my dr was ok with me having a morning appt - I told her this is exactly what I did last appt...but she kept repeating herself and became patronizing. Refused to give me her name, then refused to give me her managers name. After all this, she told ME not to be rude!!!nnSo, there is nobody present to speak with, and after debating she gave me a pamphlet with a general number and no way to speak with her manager 'Laurie'....nnNobody who behaves like this should be at a front counter.
Extremely rude and aggressive staff. When checking in, had to repeat myself as to when my requisition was faxed over multiple times. Non-fasting bloodwork. Asked when the last time I ate or drank anything was. I told them I haven't been fasting. They became extremely rude and claimed to need to know the exact time when I last ingested anything and what exactly what it was...they just need to know if I have been fasting or not...steer clear of this Lab at all costs.
