I had a great experience at this LifeLabs location. The line moved quickly. There was a screen showing your name and who was ahead of you, so even if there had been a wait, I knew I was in the system and my time was coming up. I understand that waits can sometimes be up to an hour, so if you plan for that, the process is smooth. I was even let in early, and the procedure was done very quickly. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly working hard to get people through efficiently. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience.
I enjoyed the experience here as the staff was very kind and efficient, but today the place was very short on staff. Today there were only two staffs maintaining both the front desk AND doing the lab work like blood tests etc while there are around 5-8 people in line almost all the time. The walk in wait time estimate was over an hour. I worry the two staff is going to burn out or make mistakes. They seemed quite rushed and out of time constantly. A man said they are behind schedule, the staff said they were doing the best they could. They didnt have time to change the bed sheet in my room. Although I didn't need the bed cuz I was just doing blood test. But 2 people for the entire lab and the front desk on a busy day??? The staff that checked me in at the front desk also did my blood test.
1:20 wait with appointment. On top of it, I am paying for a 24h test that is now reduced to 22h because they don’t have their bookings in control and were delayed by so much time. Not acceptable
It was very busy the afternoon when i arrived. I had an appt and had to wait a short time so I was able to watch the lab techs work incredibly efficiently and politely to accommodate everyone. The team work was impressive.
Travel a bit further if you have to but avoid this location. First, the lady poked several times before finding a vein even though i told her to use a kid’s needle because i have thin veins. She still used the regular needle. Secondly, even with an appointment I had to wait 1hr+ at this place. Had to miss a work meeting - even though at the time of booking it said appt will take 10 mins. When I told the staff i need to take a work meeting she said “i have one person ahead of you” - and then 4 people were called in before me. This place and system is just archaic.
