Lewis County District Court

Very one sided. I went to trial because the police officer pulled me over for going 8 over the speed limit on i5. I told the judge I was going 5 over. So he through the book at me. Took the officers side. Made my insurance go up. Just what I needed during my company layoff. I even asked him to not put this on my driving record because I don't have a lot of money for my everyday bills to go up. He literally laughed in my face. Saying "well it's going on your record" I've never felt so disrespected. It's all about money. But why? Not everyone has money. So how does that teach us all the same lesson when some have more than others. Something needs to change.

Responsive staff, courteous security guards and a caring public who’s almost as hot as she is intelligent, very! It was a refreshing experience to have my case carefully considered, my options clearly explained and a commitment to my decision fully backed before standing before the judge. I had read about Judge Buzzard in various articles and he sounded like a Wild West tyrant, twirling justice around his finger like a six shooter a swigging whisky from a robe flask. In the end, I experienced a sense of gratitude and closure as I closed my car door. I had a check for the full cash bail money I had paid, a DWS misdemeanor reduced to a driving citation and the final fine reduced from 600 to 140 dollars. My license was valid and this court helped me get back on track. The judge was clear headed, quick witted and fair, the kind of guy you’d want to get coffee with. Thx Lewis Co. District Court, lady liberty is better off with you at her side.

I work in the government legal system and my nephew was just booked the day before yesterday because when he was last in court here, Judge RWB told him he had 30 days to quash his warrants. This was around 08/17/20. He contacted the other court where warrants were on 08/24/20 and said court set a warrant quash hearing for 10/06/20. Nephew went back to court on 09/30/20 after he already served 1 week in their jail and was remanded to jail just because his warrants weren't quashed even though he has a hearing scheduled! Mind you, now he will miss court on 10/06/20 in the other jurisdiction because judge RWB is keeping him in their jail until 10/07/20!!! His public defender is David Brown and I'm ready to complain to the Washington State Bar Association! He never once reached out to my nephew or answered my email!

Judge buzz. is biased, will have no sympathy for a individual who is striving for change I.E. schooling This county sees human beings as dollar signs and only judge you off of a report, same goes for your attorney. Don Blair has not called me in attempts to revise paperwork just so i can make my doctor appointments. Last time, i was appointed a antorney that wasn't the one given to me by the courts and he wouldn't even make contact with me, with me calling him countless times. Whatever you do, just comply because there's no sympathy from specific judges. Some are more humane others.

Dont waste your time or money fight it very unjust court. This court live of highway robbery of people that just trying to drive true. That why they lowered speed to 60. Then they charge convenience fee who does that only Unjust court of Chehalis. Do You want stop it write to State Governer and President to stop Hwy Robberies.

I called into the courthouse to get info regarding payments, and had a million questions. I spoke with Shannon, and she was so genuinely helpful and took the time to really help me and was very patient with me. Makes all the difference.

Getting through the entrance was a breeze as long as you don't have anything metal on you. The judges and attorneys were very nice and supportive for my case.

CHRISSY FROM DISTRICT COURT. Is on of the Unhealthiest on mattered does not know where she stands and where she works completely told me she never goes on the website so she can’t help me at all I will have to go do all the clicking myself. And she laughed it off and told me I can figure it out myself Please pay attention how our system works when we need help they laugh with hate when your asking questions to get your life fixed by a simple ticket.

Unjustly issue warrants ,like when the "appointed lawyer does not show" or YOU are not informed of neccary information or sent any documentation.I have gone to juail TWICE! WITHOUT COMMITING ANY CRIM!!! the seperation of Supirior and District is a travesty and a A DOGMA of rights

Very unhelpful and rude staff. If I lived near a different courthouse would definitely recommend not going here if you can help it. Worse place I've ever been to try to get anything done.
