GETTING WORSE AND WORSE. The food and menu are increasingly disappointing; nothing goes together. Why not offer traditional meals and memorable experiences for the taste buds of the elderly? We're not in a 5-star hotel; gourmet terms aren't necessary. Here are some examples of more traditional meals and tasty memories for loved ones.nnExamples of soups to offer: vegetable soup, old-fashioned chicken noodle soup, cream of sweet potato soup, shepherd's pie, pea soup, cabbage soup, cream of chicken soup, cream of vegetable soup, chicken and rice soup.nExamples of appetizers: chef's salad, coleslaw, warm bread.nMain courses: shepherd's pie, roast bacon and yellow potato, hot ham, hot hamburger, hot chicken, vegetable pie, traditional pork chop, boiled vegetables, meatball stew, steak and potatoes, macaroni and cheese, traditional chicken breast or thigh, boiled vegetables, meat with cabbage, tourtière meat pie, fish and chips, ham steak, etc. There are tons of old-fashioned recipes on Google.nnSide dishes: traditional mashed potatoes, yellow potatoes, hash browns, French fries, rice, and a wide variety of vegetables beans, carrots, turnips, peas, corn kernels, roasted onions.nnI'm not asking you to change everything, but please offer them one or two more traditional meals in your menu. It would make such a difference for the pickier eaters.nnSince you only offered three choices a day, it's gotten worse and worse.

Nice place, but the quality of the food has declined since they changed providers.

Visit to a resident. Very well housed and well fed. Very welcoming place.
