We needed a competent electrician on very short notice after a bad experience with someone else, and these guys stepped up big time. Timely, professional, expert service at a reasonable price. Excellent communication throughout. Would recommend them without hesitation and will be calling on them next time we had an electrical job to do.

We were having issues with our Hydro bill and contacted Kenny for his expertise and reliability. He drove from far on a busy work day and still made time for us. Not only did he find the problem in our duplex unit, but he also helped us resolve the issue at a low cost. This would have been triple the amount with any other local company that we had previously contacted. GFCI is reliable, professional, courteous, ponctual and most importantly HONEST. I highly recommend this hard working business to others and would not hesitate for a second to use them again in a near future for other contracts.

Update - many fake positive reviews on here to hide the negative - notice one from Kenneth Yip the owner himself touting his own services ! What a clown. I cannot stress enough how much to avoid this company and this electrician Kenneth Yip Jr and his wife Doris Tabo of 5735 terr. Boisvert Longueuil. One of the rudest, most arrogant electricians in the city and we deal with many contractors every year. When he is trying to get your business, he will be polite and kind. As soon as the work is complete, he demands to be paid immediately. And when we say immediately, on the spot, no questions asked. If you don’t pay him immediately, he will call you at all hours of the day and night, send you numerous text messages, insult you as well as threaten you. We made a very reasonable request to wait 2 days to pay him in order to confirm the stubborn technical issue we were trying to fix was indeed fixed. His reaction to that is he began his onslaught of insults and threats including withholding a key report he had to send to Hydro Quebec to ensure the work he completed was to code. 3 days later, low and behold the issue came back at which he accused us of making it up and then blamed the issue on Hydro Quebec. A really rotten-to-the-core person, the screen capture of the messages he sent us proves his attitude and that all he cares about is his money, not the customer BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE , there are tons of competent, KIND and POLITE electricians in the city, find another !

I don't normally post reviews but this company really came through for me last night. My breaker blew and had no electricity on the main floor of my condo. I have two kids 2 years old and 6 months old and no one would come until the following day. Called GFCI and guy showed up in 30 minutes. He replaced breaker in 15 minutes and then explained wiring issue and replace the wiring at cost. I am so grateful and thanks again for everything. Wish every company was like these guys!

I called a few companies for an estimate and GFCI was 1 of 2 who actually showed up. I had a few light fixtures to install and some plugs that weren't up to code. They're price was very reasonable. Showed up when promised and got the job done in time. Definitely would use them again.

Had no power in only one room and they knew exactly what to look for and explained why the problem happened. Showed up on time and gave a very thorough service. Very polite and did not leave a mess behind! Would highly recommend them and will definitely use their services again.

As a former employee, Ken has a great respect for his workers and insists upon a professional interaction with his clients. Though I have employment elsewhere, his company is the first one I recommend to people who need electrical work done.
