Such a lovely place with wonderful food and great staff. Locals talk about this place a lot. If you are planning to visit them in rush hour or a Tuesday that most restaurants are closed, book a reservation for sure. The food was great with generous portions. It also arrived pretty fast. The drinks were great.
Returned to Leo's on our regular visit to our friend in Gibson's and had a decent meal there. It was a bit busy and understaffed, s service was a little slow...but that's Gibson's for ya...!! Everything we ordered was pretty good. My wife and I shared their Saganaki.. our friend had the garlic prawns and greek salad, my wife had their greek ribs which were enjoyable she said. I had the fried calamari but was over cooked and tough, too much batter turned crunchy when deep fried and wasn't very warm when served..so that was disappointing. But overall, the visit filled the void it was intended to.. May not return again...
Simple, home cooked Greek food with options for a glass / half litre / full litre ! of wine or some pretty decadent cocktails for reasonable prices. The meals are ample- the trio of dips would actually be an adequate meal for two along with a salad. The taramosalata is creamy and decadent, and the combo platter is generous and tasty. I would make this 4 1/2 stars if possible :
The food was literally DIVINE. The staff was lacklustre. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. We both had the chicken souvlaki and literally every single bite was one of those foodgasm moments. They lost a star with staff. Everyone who worked there seemed scared/unsure of themselves, or like they hate their job. Which is incredibly incongruent with the quality of atmosphere & food. Not sure if there’s a leadership issue or something that’s flowing downhill, but hopefully they get it sorted. It would be nice to be served by people who are proud of the place and seem happy to be in a service role. All in all, I WILL be frequenting this place for the food.
We had a huge group 40+ people of buffet dinner here. This is prob the best experience for a big group dinning experience. The cocktail is so affordable, delicious and big size. The service is top notch. Even though we have around 20 kids, staffs are all patient and polite. And always come to check on their water and adult’s wine progress. Food is all good, much better than most buffet restaurants in greater Vancouver. This is my first time tipping 20%. Highly recommended!!
Loved our meals and the service was fantastic! They let us sit for dinner only 30 minutes before close and were extremely accommodating. The calamari to start and lamb souvlaki and roast lamb dinners were delicious! Great quality, great prices, would definitely return.
The server and service was atrocious and the food was decent.. the waitress was extremely rude, when I asked her if she would recommend the pizza or baked pasta she just glared at me and said very bluntly “The pasta takes 30 minutes”… I asked which is better, not the wait time.. And then I asked for the portion size for the spaghetti and she said “it’s okay”. I decided on the pepperoni pizza which wasn’t the best thing ever.. As we looked around, it seemed like every waiter was giving the same service to the other customers.. sad to believe people that pay these prices for such a poor service and ok food.
Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. Greek style is one of the best and pleasant!Food: 5/5
We waited for our food for 40 mins before asking the waitress to pack the food to go before we got it because we were running to catch the Vancouver ferry, she gave us attitude and not a thank you or goodbye when we left. While I realize it was an annoyance to have to pack the food, we were very apologetic. When we got to the ferry, and opened the pizza box, it was totally the wrong pizza, I ordered the Leo's Special which is meatless I confirmed this with the waitress when ordering. The pizza I received had some sort of meat and since I do not eat meat, there was no dinner for me.
830 on a Saturday night and I'm taking my girl there for her birthday. They tell me there kitchen is closed?? I can see the staff in the kitchen and several patrons eating in the restaurant . I will NEVER go there again!!! I suggest you don't patron this establishment
