Awesome diner with a lively and cheerful atmosphere. We had a super nice server and the food was delicious. They were super busy but were able to seat us and the wait for the food wasn’t too long. Would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
Good all around meal - gravy on veal cutlets and mash potatoes was great. Staff were nice. The kids' meals offered a good portion but the kids burger not pictured was dead plain so that could be worked on as not all kids are picky little brats.
Decent selection of food with pricing a little above par. Small town so maybe that’s why? Food was good and was delivered promptly. The service was friendly and attentive. The shakes and floats were authentic. Burgers were devourable.
This place is a unique gem for those driving to Golden. A family owned restaurant that has a unique atmosphere that will take you right back to the past and make you feel those movie vibes. When you walk in, you will be invaded with the perfume of quality food. Service is simple but of superior warmth! I would recommend this as stop for both families and or solo travelers.
They were just closing when we arrived and the girl at the till said sorry we are closed. They could see that we were very disappointed. So she asked the cook if we were able to eat and they said sure. The food was really good my wife had chicken fingers and fries and I had the Ruben. The chicken fingers were nice pieces of breast meat, she also ordered gravy for her fries. This was by far on of the best gravies we have had from a restaurant. Great service and great food! Thank you for letting us in a the last minute. Kid-friendliness: Chicken fingers
Went here with my wife on our honeymoon. Out first stop into town for the week and a bit while we waited for our check in time at the hotel. We love 30s, 40s, 50s, music and decor. This place had the decor for sure, and really good classic rock. We loved that. Best atmosphere in town overall, lots of happy people and good vibes. The service was good. Above average for sure. The whole town is quite good on this front let it be known. I would put 5 stars but we only put that up for very stand out, exceptional service stuff you see in some of the big cities. That being said they were all great. No complaints. Good genuine service which I doubt is the case in any of the big cities you'll get that "5 star service" which is sad haha The food..... One of the best burgers we have ever had. Top 3 Maybe even number 1. Beats everything we have had in any big cities. Seems it's only ever small towns that can serve a truly amazing burger. The fries are nothing special. They are what you would expect for a diner and that's just fine. Onion rings were quite good. Most places can't do good onion rings but they certainly can. We will go here again for sure. Support them! They're one of the best stops in the town for sure. They serve LOTS of different food. So if you don't feel like a burger and rings by all means they have a lot of different options for you. Lots of sides if you don't want plain fries, and they have a nice milkshake too.
Lovely staff, great food, absolutely gorgeous decorations. The photos were taken by my friends who joined me last time I was there
Always passing through golden on work And every time forget about them But this time on vacation with the wife and kid so we popped in for a quick bite on are way back to Alberta Easy road access, friendly atmosphere kind staff and a fun nostalgic vide with the decor Order club house that kicked but Awesome serving size and came quick Good job guy
Stopped in here on the way back home. Restaurant was quiet, only a few tables. Server sat us and didn’t come back for a while. Ordered food and drinks, both of us got Cesar salad. Food came out, my friend and i IMMEDIATELY had second thoughts. We’d been on the road about 4 hours and were starving so we ate what we could. My last bite the lettuce tasted sour. Lots of the “greens” were brown and had been covered in dressing. We told the server as I work in hospitality and would definitely want to be told if the food wasn’t up to par. She acted rude and like it wasn’t her problem. We were told it was out of a package and my friend asked if it had been washed and she she walked away from our table. We paid, left, drove for an hour and a half and both got very sick on the side of the highway. We called to tell the restaurant and the employee that answered told us “we couldn’t get sick in 20 minutes lady” I then asked to speak to the manager and I was hung up on. Don’t recommend the food, probably not worth the the trouble of stopping. I’d rather be hungry than sick.
Cute little diner with really cool decorations. The food is okay. Egg is not so good but nice staff and convenient location!
