The cheesesteak was so soggy that it was barely edible, at least partially due to the fact that it was wrapped in what felt like newspaper and taped shut like a cold sub might be. When I've had it in the past, it was properly packaged in a styrofoam container so as not to end up soggy and smashed. Not good. Corned beef egg rolls are quite literally inedible, as they are completely raw, which would have been caught if they had been cut in half. Absolutely ridiculous waste of money.
Not to mention a whole new staff of lazy men, but portions are a joke now. Julia was the reason me and my wife became regulars and to find out she was basically replaced, is such a shame. Lost a great employee and some regulars. Good luck leftys!
The southpaw sandwich was good! The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the cornbeef egg rolls were 3/4 un cooked eggroll wrapping! Not cooked at all!! This is the second time pictures below!!!!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Sandwich was OK but this place is dead meat. They have a huge problem called Big John. My large cheese steak from lefty was almost $13. The meat was reasonably generous, the cheese was there but not exactly abundant. The flavor was basic, too heavy on the onions. Staff were good. The problem is that Big John is just a couple of doors down with a better taste, faster service, and a far better value. It's a no-brainer for me. Lefty was a 1-time try and I won't go back.
First time trying this place and it was amazing. Can’t wait to come back. The good people of the cap city, this place is a must try. The I just tried the cheesesteak and it was delicious.
Amazing food i tried this place for the first time and wow not bad at all .if your bebating on wanting to try this place you wont regret it ! I got the southpaw sandwich
First time customer dealt with Dj and Shawn were awesome and explained the menu well improvised our order so we could have a patty melt.. dabbled with a variety of things off the menu and everything was above our expectations.. Best food in a minute. Definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer.
Not many places can deep fry real onion rings well. Bobby, our fryer @ Lefty's. did a great job. Best onion rings I've had in a long time. The cheesesteak was HOT, tasty and lean. The 2nd half was still steaming when I finished the first half. The bread is soft, tasty and finely textured. We stopped on a mere whim and were surprised just how good it was. Check it out. Super clean location, very friendly staff and great food. We will be back just to try the huge menu. Really unique offerings, especially in the loaded fries category.
Got the Ruben and curly fries. 15 bucks. Kinda pricy. Ruben was just ok. Basically corn beef and cheese. Not much if any dressing and the slaw/kraut was tasteless. Biggest issue was just one guy working. Sat there at least 20 minutes waiting on my order. Don't see a good reason for a second visit.Food: 3/5
The sandwiches were missing all of the add on we purchased mushrooms, onions. One of our three sandwhiches came with chicken when we ordered beef. The wings were the soggiest and hands down worst wings I've ever eaten, the only thing making them edible was the sauce, although it would have been nice to try them with the ranch and chipotle ranch, but they didn't send any of the three we had ordered. The curly fries were soggy and cold. I understand the temperature being cold as we ordered, but these fries were so wet it was like they had been soaked in water after cooking them. The only thing I would recommend from here would be the onion rings which were fried perfectly and had a nice light breading. I don't plan on eating at this location again.
