I did not visit the Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society in person, but I consulted with James from the Society regarding an old building that used to be in Dixon. He was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and gave me the information I was looking for.
I joined them for their celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Old Settler's Log Cabin. It was a nice event with the Dixon Municipal Band and some members of the HGS dressed in period attire while sharing information about the cabin.
Finding treasures in our yard. Called to get info on a pendant we found. Very helpful staff. Cant wait to see what we uncovered.
