Just had a close encounter with a Lechaim meal at Sunnybrook Hospital, with my mother getting the "roast beef dinner". I have never been tempted to use the word disgusting about a kosher meal before, but this definitely qualified. The meat was fatty and dry and tough and had sections that looked spoilt. The mashed potatoes were dry and looked more like spoilt cream cheese. There was nothing appetizing about this meal and it was demoralizing for a patient. Shameful that they are allowed to call this food. Oh...and the best before date is still a year away. The hospital originally offered baked ham by mistake - it would have been a better choice even with the kashrut issue.
We very recently hosted a wedding at the Venetian banquet hall in concord Ontario. Jack ponte of lechaim catering catered the entire meal from hors d'heurves, to appetizers, the meal, dessert and late night food. Everything was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Jack listened to all our preferences and delivered everything to perfection. We would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone. Jack was patient, understanding and accommodated all of our requests. He was a pleasure to work with!!! We can't thank him enough!! We continue to receive calls of compliments on everything!!
Their meals are always fresh, tasty, aesthetic and fit the quality of the non-kosher meals around them. Unsure of their pricing as I have always been served Lchaims food at business events, never purchased myself. But in terms of the food itself, 5/5.
I recently had a LeChaim catered meal at a conference where I requested a kosher meal. The food was plentiful and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Thank you LeChaim!
