Le Shack à Joe, qui a changé son nom commercial en 2017, fait référence au premier propriétaire Joseph Duguay alias ''Joe patate''. Depuis les années 1960, Joe est un personnage bien connu dans la Péninsule acadienne. Sa création, les fameuses frites ''wedges'', faites à la main chaque matin sont depuis restées parmi nos vendeurs #1 avec notre variété de cheeseburgers, les meilleurs en ville. Delicious chip truck food and it tastes clean. Amazing poutines and deserts. And the shack burger is must have. Fast friendly service. They even give you a buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready.
We found a treasure. Was getting hungry and happened upon this place. We had a donair and a burger and both were fantastic! Lovely young lady served us and was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this take out.
Very popular. I had scallops and wedges. Wife had fish and chips. Wonderful dill sauce. Not a tartar sauce- with our meal.
We went to le Shack a Joe after a visit to the aquarium. I had seen it advertised on a facebook contest and was curious to try it out since we were in town. It's a quaint little place with picnic benches outside for those who prefer eating outdoors. Inside there's 4 tables and a bathroom. It's fairly small but it's not meant to sit a lot of people indoors. You order inside and are given a beeper that let's you know when your order is ready. You can either pick it up inside or at the window outsitde. The menu has options for everyone. We got a family sized donair poutine which was plenty for my husband, myself and our 3 year old, we even had some leftovers to bring home. It came with two small portions of donair sauce but the two could have filled one container so we felt they could have been a bit more generous. The poutine itself was absolutely delicious. Home made fries, delicious brown gravy and cheese curds, topped with slices of donair meat. The flavor balance was just right. I look forward to visiting again and will definitely be recommending it.
Excellent food, but the little seating there is in there is quite inadequate.
Food was disappointing. Prices were high, service was adequate.

We were disappointed with the fried clams. They were just strips and not whole clams as we were told when we contacted Le Shack.
