Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to! From the outset, our server was lovely — French isn’t our first language, but she was happy to let us stumble through ordering in French so we could practice. Additionally, my partner has celiac disease, so he can’t eat any gluten. Our server was very alert to that fact, and both she and the kitchen staff were attentive and extra careful, taking precautions to avoid cross-contamination. For example, they baked the octopus in the oven for us instead of searing it on the grill. As for the food, everything we ordered was fantastic. We got the charcuterie + fondue, and octopus plates as appetizers, and the scallops + boudin noir and steak dishes for our mains. The ingredients were very fresh with delicious and inventive sauces, and the plating was beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Charlevoix — it’s a must try!
Excellent food and service! The food is absolutely delicious and refined. The octopus entry and the beef cheek were delicious. Plates were looking super nice as well. Cocktails and wine were well recommended by our waiter. The view is beautiful. Everyone had a great experience.
My wife and I were recently in the Charlevoix region of Quebec in September 2021. The region has been affected by Covid and it was very difficult for us to get reservations for dinner at any restaurant. After a long day of whale watching we returned to the charming beach area of Ste Irenee just west of La Malbaie in a private cove. The hostess told us they were completely booked but we suggested that we would sit at the bar and be in and out quickly. We had a fantastic meal with mozarella appetizer large, brussel sprouts, main courses were scallops and pork with craft beer. The presentation of the food was outstanding and the sauces were delightful. There are many local products in the mix. The view is exceptional being on the water with large glass windows. This place has only been open for 3 months but has tremendous potential. With their first winter approaching they need support and deserve it.
WOW! While vacationing in the Charlevoix region last week we stumbled upon Le SAINTI, and we are so glad we did. Opened just last year, this is French dining at its very best. We were treated to a most delicious lunch in a beautiful setting overlooking the St. Lawrence. Portion sizes were perfect for lunch not an overwhelming American-style plate load. Service and wine were exceptional. Staff and kitchen worked in harmony to give us an unforgettable dining experience. If you are in this area, DO NOT miss out the opportunity to dine in what is surely going to become one of Quebec's finest restaurants. Thank you Le SAINTI, we will return!!
We arrived early - before the 5:00 start of dinner service - but the staff were patient and accommodating. After killing some time over cocktails and some really incredible oysters we placed our dinner order. Entrees were amazing! I had the barley risotto - I will definitely be attempting that at home!!! Also amazing: one of the best background music soundtracks I have ever heard. If you are in Saint Irenee definitely stop at Le Sainti!
Brilliant food and elegant drinks that were all prepared, served and hosted by thoughtful people who obviously care about the unique experience that a truly great meal can be. Highly highly recommend.
Great food & owned by fantastic people.Recommended dishesWagyu
We have a wonderful meal here on a rainy night. The owner, Eve was charming and helpful. My D-Tox non-alcoholic cocktail was great as were my companions’ Chardonnays and Sancerres by the glass. The service was attentive and the food was excellent. Above all, there was a strong sense of professionalism, quality ingredients locally sourced where possible and genuine hospitality.
Food at Le Sainti is simply exceptional. Despite visiting during the cold month of November; the server on duty made the experience warm and thoroughly enjoyable. For those who care to know where their meals come from, I highly advise that you inquire about the ways in which they source their ingredients. Wonderful, and obviously fresh local produce and meats. Highly recommend for those in the area or passing through; for a fine dining experience. A well deserved 5/5 stars; though I may argue that the food exceeds this rating !
Great view. Good presentation for every dish. Liked the dessert.
