Le Merryl

I've been back in town for a few days and was able to go to Le Merryl to study. What an amazing cafe! Le Merryl is very spacious and has great hours, making it the perfect place to study. It's not too packed even this close to finals season. The service is friendly. While I haven't gotten to try the food, the sandwiches look good and the coffee was tasty and well priced. The vibe really makes this place special--it's so inviting. By that, I mean the music is the perfect volume, the lighting is great, and the seating/table arrangements are diverse and comfortable. Love it!!

Great tasting food! It’s great that they have many vegan options! Cafe is clean and spacious. Food was fresh and plentiful. Friendly and welcoming environment that I will definitely come back to!

After closing due to the pandemic in december, the owners decided not to give their employees their last paycheck. After months of fighting to get paid, the staff finally got it, but the owners kept all of the staff's tip. The worst part is that even if the owners were broke enough to steal for their employees, they probably got subsidies for paying them in these hard times and kept it. I hope they never reopen.

Very cute café that is much larger inside than how it looks outside. I love how they use organic products. The organic hot chocolate was the best I've had in Montreal.

Few times have I ever tasted something so good, that it made me angry. Angry because I've been missing it until this moment. Their wraps are the best thing to ever exist. Go. Try. Live.

I miss the Merryl so much. Possible one of the best coffee shops I've visited.
