Food and service good, but did not appreciate unfriendly treatment of us and our dog who we were told at the end of our meal by older woman had no right to be there, outside on the patio. He was lying quietly under the shade of our outdoor table harming no one in the hot weather. I am disgusted by this treatment especially after a big tip given up front at time of ordering. Won’t be coming back.
A non-profit with local food and produce! The building needs some renovations but it's still has a lot of charm! The staff is very friendly. Portions and prices are sometimes odd though... Adding a few slices of lettuce on the side of your main dish will end up costing an added 5$ . Better off buying your dish without a salad.
What a wonderful experience! I dined Al Fresco on the terrace that overlooked the village square. Given that I was dining alone I was happy to take in the sights of village life as people sauntered by as the evening settled in. My meal started off with a smoked salmon salad that was both delicious and elegantly plated. The delicate sweetness of the maple-blueberry dressing contrasted beautifully with the natural bitterness of the rocket and the smoky saltiness of the salmon. Next up was the Turbot en Papillote served over a mirepoix of yellow and orange peppers and flavoured with capers, dill, and slightly pickled onions. Alongside the fish was an innovative Turnip risotto over which were strips of purple cabbage. All flavours again were in harmony. Desert consisted of a wedge of fluffy cheesecake artfully presented on a chocolate graham crumble and topped with fresh berries from a nearby farm. Not too sweet, not too filling; just perfect. Service was friendly and well-timed, and I very much appreciated that the chef came out of the kitchen to present his dishes. The Table-d'Hôte is available on Fridays and Saturdays, whereas the rest of the week they serve Bistro fare. Cash or debit card only, please.
A hidden gem in Danville. Wonderful experience. I went with my little family. Food is prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Excellent food. Excellent service. Very affordable!!! Highly recommended.
A gem! This small cooperative has simple, absolutely delicious fare with local ingredients and a light touch. Excellent salads and menu du jour. Would eat here again in a heartbeat.
Excellent cozy place when you can get original products from the area and the food is just amazing. You can also try the local brewed beers that are surprisingly good. The people there are very friendly.
Good food, excellent service
Translated by Google Arrive at 7:30 on a Saturday evening. Bad attitude of the server who is stupid and zero professional... we ask if he has a drink... he answers with attitude that he doesn't have any that we have to go to the convenience store to get some water... . we receive our 2 sandwiches 1 poutine around 8 a.m.... the employee in question comes back to tell us with a silly tone that it closes at 9 p.m.... we have just received our 2 sandwiches that you took 30 min to make.. . He refuses to serve 4 customers at 8:20 a.m. so he leaves... Poor service. Cold poutine and dry fries.. ordinary sandwich... Nice place but disappointed with the rest.. Original Arriver à 7h30 un samedi soir. Il refuse de servir 4 clients à 8h20 donc reparti... Mauvais service. Poutine froide et frite sec.. sandwich ordinaire... Belle endroit mais déçu du reste..
