Le Grand Comptoir

Ate here while vacation in Montreal. Nice place where the food comes first. Delicious. Everything great. Marinated chicken was fantastic. Dessert was even better. Service was patient and friendly to two vacationing tanks. Much appreciated, we will go back every time in Montreal. Worth the trip.

Dined al fresco facing Phillipe Sq. at this welcoming bistro; 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our well prepared and delicious plates with a nice selection of wines to pair. A most courteous wait staff attended us as well as a gregarious owner. I highly recommend "L.G. Comptoir" and will return whenever again in Montreal

The atmosphere could be a bit better and the waiters are not « french » at all... but the food is good although slightly on the pricier side. The portions are generous. I recommend the duck confit or the rib eye bordelaise. Good place to fall back on when other restaurants close by are full.

Been there last night. Absolutely great place to be. Lovely patio. A bit of noisy but what are you expecting from sitting in a patio. Reasonable serving speed. Appreciate the food. Great experience in all.

Good food if you want something quick. A bit pricey.

My favourite go-to lunch restaurant in downtown Montreal. Le Grand Comptoir serves quality French bistro food at good price. Very centraly located and with good service. Also has a nice terrace in the Summer. Highly recommended for a good casual lunch / dining experience.
