Want a taste and feel of France in Toronto? This is the place. All their food and pastries are phenomenal. Really good quiche. Best cappuccino i've ever had - macadamia milk cappuccino with a a caramel flavour shot - perfect froth, perfect flavour, perfect european size. Croissants are delicious. Or and plenty of space to read a book, work for a few hours. The staff had a french accent which really added to the experience. And the vibe is awesome - check the pics below. Overall 10 out of 10 Vegetarian options: Vegan options
4.1/5 Scrumptious treats! If you like buttery croissants and pastries, look no further. We stopped for a coffee and a quick bite on a Sunday. They have a selection of pastries, sweets, sandwiches, and quiche as well as a restaurant that serves brunch. We sat outside at one of their picnic tables and enjoyed the warm weather. The almond croissant was rich, buttery and filled with tasty almond paste. Our favourite was the Canelé; a wonderful combination of custard, caramel and a hint of rum. Yum. The pastries could have been crispier, but the humidity outside may have affected the texture. Definitely worth a visit!
The food is amazing and we were lucky to get a table. The ham and cheese croissant melts in your mouth. The line to order is a little bit messy when it gets crowded, but I am sure they will figure it out.Food: 5/5
I think the place is overrated. The ambience of the patio is cute. My biggest complaints are: 1 so many wasps and bugs around, but they want to display their croissants on open trays, rather than using a cover. 2 asked the barista if they were confident in his latte art - they said yes, but i think the honest answer wud hv been - somewhat. Ordered a flat white just for the art and it was alright, nothing spectacular. I dnt mind that it was not a fancy swan, I mind that the barista oversold themselves. 3 the espresso was not great either. Dnt go out of your way to go here. We had been to JetFuel earlier, another coffee spot in the area, so we thought of giving this a go. Vegetarian options: If you eat egg there are lots of options. Parking: Street parking on weekends can be tricky during festivals, but otherwise it shud not be a problem.
If you’re looking for more affordable French pastry staples, this is your spot. Their croissant is perfect, good texture, great flavour. Competing with the standard croissant at Le Beau but at a more affordable price and with no need to line up. The kouing-amann was good but not as memorable as the croissant. Definitely will comeback to visit to try more items.
We are so pleased this coffee patisserie is just down the block from our Airbnb. So delicious! Best coffee so far and such a beautiful historic vibe to match the neighborhood. Service was exemplary!Food: 5/5
What a warm and inviting French bakery cafe in Old Cabbagetown. Glad we found you guys! Some of if not THE highest quality French pastries we’ve found in Toronto.Food: 5/5
great little spot, they were just out of a few menu items that were featured. but the quiche we got, the salad and the Americanos were fantastic!Food: 5/5
There could be a little bit more seating space for such a popular place with such delicious treats. I had pistachio and fig tart and it was delicious with a decaf cappuccino. Update: went again today for lunch and had beets and Brie sandwich and it was beyond delicious. Of course followed by a cappuccino and plum& pistachio tart which is delicious.
Visited here on Thursday and it was amazing. The drinks were very nice, the pastries were fresh and tasted very nice. We ordered the mushroom and spinach grilled cheese, I thought they will just heat it up and put it on a plate, but they plated it very beautifully and it tasted sooooo good. The place itself was so clean and pretty. Loved the design. The staff were on another level, very kind and helpful and so nice. <333333
