Le 1838 cuisine urbaine vous offre une cuisine raffiné et au goût du jour dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale.

La Maison

M.Langwell, un écossais venu s'établir à st-Jérome à fait construire cette maison en 1838. Il y a avait auparavant un annexe en bois à la maison qui servait de magasin à Mr. Langwell puisqu'il fut l'un premier commerçant du village St-Jérome. Il possédait également un moulin à farine et un moulin a scie sur l'Ile perrault.
Vers 1875, la maison est achetée par Alfred Laviolette, frère du premier maire de Saint-Jérome. À sa mort, la résidence est acquise par la fille de l'honorable Wilfrid Prévost, Marie, épouse de Léopold Globensky. Par la suite, M Joseph-Antoine Héberge, registrateur du comté de Terrebonne, fut longtemps propriétaire de cette maison de pierre.
Depuis plusieurs années, la maison a abrité plusieurs restaurants, dont la Maison Millaire qui fut un restaurant étoilé Michelin.

Really nice atmosphere, menu is varied and food was really good! The terrace and heritage aspect is a real treat, also parking on site is a plus. I would elaborate on the beer selection, it seems that the menu would go great not only with wine pairing but a nice brew as well!
Way to expensive for an inexperienced staff and cook. They are friendly and trying hard. I am convinced that the cook will make this place a 5 stars. The identity of the restaurant is confusing. Great music.
