I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I was standing in the store using my phone to open my Aeroplan card when a security guard suddenly approached me from far and said, “Oh, hello, come here, it’s free,” in a tone that felt mocking and intrusive. I was minding my own business, and the interruption was completely unnecessary.nnWhat made the situation worse was that the cashier seemed to support his behaviour instead of doing their own job. If security guards are going to handle customer interactions, then they might as well be standing at the cashier counter as well.nnCustomers deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect. This experience made me uncomfortable, and I hope management addresses the behaviour of their staff and clarifies proper roles and customer service expectations. Last but not the least, Security Guards likely target and point-out immigrants.
Bree is really nice and helpful, she took her time to educate me on what I was looking for and I left feeling confident in my choices. I’ll definitely be coming back to this store whenever I need anything.
Visited this LCBO and felt racially targeted by a female security guard. While others browsed freely, I was immediately approached and treated with unnecessary suspicion. As an immigrant, this felt both discriminatory and disrespectful. Just because someone is taking time to look around doesn’t mean they’re a thief, illiterate, or mentally unfit — and it certainly doesn’t mean they don’t know what they want to buy. If I needed help, I could have asked the staff myself. Why should a security guard be the one to intervene?nnAfter reading other low-rated reviews, I noticed similar complaints about the security team. Clearly, this is a recurring issue that needs serious attention from management. Ironically, the guard herself seemed to be an immigrant — yet showed bias toward others. It's funny but true.

Place is well stocked for it's size, lots of options, well organized and clean.nnOnly issue is the constant presence of Peterborough's finest, staring you down, having a small dispute with one another, or begging for change.nnThey'll get you on the way in, and the way out.nnAt-least they shut-down the pathway near the river out back, lowered the average sketch by about twenty percent with that move alone.nnTLDR: Great LCBO, only problem is it's located in downtown Peterborough.
