Lavin & Associates is a Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in New York and Florida which provides professional tax and accounting services. Since the firm’s founding over 25 years ago, it has provided clients with professional and reliable tax, accounting, bookkeeping and financial services. The senior partners, Dennis Lavin and James Lavin, are Bronx Natives and have a combined 60 years experience working for major corporations including General Foods, Phillip Morris, May’s Department Stores and US Tobacco as auditors, accountants and financial analysts. I have been a client of Lavin & Associates at their Florida location for years and I have never had an issue with them. The office is extremely beautiful with a relaxing atmosphere. They always go above and beyond the call of duty! I had a plethora of questions that they were compelled to answer. The assistance that they provided was intelligent, polite and cordial. The C.P.A. that I had the pleasure of conversing with was phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable. I will continue to go to Lavin & Associates for any future needs and keep recommending as well. Very knowledgeable! Both Dennis Sr. and Dennis Jr. did my 2013 taxes after using someone else for the last five years...I am SO glad I switched to Lavin and Associates!! Dennis Jr. made me aware of ways to get money back (after owing most of the time). I didn't get money back from my taxes this year, since my last CPA NEVER told me I should be claiming 0, being that I am single, etc. Dennis filed an extension, which gave me until October to pay for 2013. That was a life saver!! He also looked into setting up a payment plan with the government, so I didn't have to pay them in one lump sum. Had I have gone to Lavin and Associates sooner, I probably wouldn't have owed anything at the end of the year, or maybe even gotten money back for the second time ever. I am definitely sticking with L&A from now on!! Their office is also very convenient to get to...not far from I95 on Tremont. When I went there Dennis offered me a beverage; coffee, tea, water, which made me feel very comfortable. I'm looking forward to having them do my 2014 taxes, to see the improvement from past mistakes. Don't make a mistake of going to anyone else for your taxes! Thanks guys! See you in April.

Dennis Lavin is truly a fantastic tax consultant. I have dealt with many accountants in my day and he is by far one of the most knowledgeable. He is incredibly good at what he does. He has handled my taxes for the past few years and has also drafted correspondence on my behalf. They make the process very easy. I don't even have to go to one of their offices to get my taxes done. I can sit at my desk with a nice cup of coffee. I simply scan in my documents and upload it to my cloud account and the return is sent back to me in the same manner. Dennis Jr walked me through the entire process and being that I am not incredibly tech savvy, this was a huge help. I can then print the return or save it on my computer. And if I ever lose the return, it remains in my cloud account to access at any time. They even have an app I can download on my iPhone to do all of this which to me is incredible. I really trust L&A wholeheartedly because they often show they are not just suit number crunchers. They sent me a copy of correspondence they drafted for me and it turned out to be a joke letter. It was loaded with hysterical jokes that literally had me rolling on the floor. Then right behind the joke letter was the real correspondence that is filled with such impressive letter writing ability. It's no wonder they get results when they deal with issues for you. Their rate is well worth it. The L&A team is truly fantastic.

I have had the good fortune of working with Lavin & Associates for the last 5 years. They have provided me with amazing service and expert advise time after time. Their combined years of experience, friendly staff, and overall expertise is one of the best I have received from any firm in the area - truly top notch. I trust and recommend Lavin & Associates to friends, family, and colleagues, not to mention their coffee is absolutely delicious.

Great experience! The office is energetic and welcoming. This was my first time using Lavin & Associates for my taxes but definitely not my last! I was also concerned about my prior years returns being accurate, they went over my concerns with me making it an even better experience overall ! I wish I could give more stars :-)
