Good coffee, Caffe Americano, friendly staff. Pick up my coffee here while family member is staying in the Humber River hospital. Loyalty card issued, after 9 cups, 10th is free. Glad to have access to some good enjoyable coffee. Makes life easier and more enjoyable. Have had one of their cookies from Serano bakery, totally delicious. Have not tried their sandwiches or ice cream. These folks are well staffed and eager to please. Well done. Many well made delicious desserts to choose from. They have Serano’s Bakery Greek Melomakarouna brown honey cookies here. Delicious beyond words. A must taste. Update: had their vegan, gluten free chia parfait and chicken salad Foodbenders, nothing short of delicious and nutritious. Truly happy to have found this cafe gem at the hospital. The owner has skillfully sourced good quality food and desserts offering a great cup of coffee. You get what you pay for. Very pleased and thankful to have healthy and tasty food options. Life is Good! :
Terrible, just terrible. One of the worst customer services iv ever experienced on this pathetic world. The only thing I look forward to is coffee and they have ruined it down to the bone. The audacity to treat me like a street dog. And on top of that, they weren’t wearing masks and they told ME to pull up my mask. I get it, it’s a hospital, but do your part before you tell me what to do. I hope this places shuts down very soon because it’s a nuisance to society. I wish I can give this place no stars at all, one star is to much of a compliment. Please be warned, I beg of you with all my heart. - Kenny Masté
Ive been there twice now, both times I waited almost 10 minutes for my order with no one ahead of me. Both times the latta or cappuccino lacked any real coffee flavour and the milk was boiled to within an inch of its life. The second time, despite repeating myself twice, I was given a cappuccino instead of a café latte. The staff seem confused abs run around from place to place with no real system in place. The beverages are horrible, among the worst I’ve had anywhere. These people need retaining and the owner needs to have some sort of quality control here. It looks like his staff is not taught but brow-beaten. The prices are at a Starbucks level but the service and beverage quality are one step up from non existent. The pastries and muffins are very good.
This place has absolutely horrible service! One of their employees white male was being very rude and giving me attitude. How can you give someone attitude and get the order wrong?! Even though he attempted to “fix” his mistake, he seemed bothered. I don’t know what like of place you guys are running, but you’ll never be successful with a sour attitude towards customers. P.S. your lemon scone are super stale…
For the past 3 years I have gone to this Cafe and the food is good. Love the meat pie, especially when heated. The croissants are super flaky just how I love them. Brownies are yummy. The staff very nice and they are very efficient. Very considerate and also very accommodating.
As a Humber River Hospital Employer I have to say that this coffee shop has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Their staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. There’s been multiple encounters where I’ve witnessed the management itself talking down on their staff and treating them with insurmountable disrespect. It’s embarrassing to say this coffee shop exists at this hospital, where everyone is treated with respect.
Today we came to the hospital for a sandwhich at tim hortons, but they didnt have what my wife wanted at this specific location, so I decided to go to Lavazza for a sandwhich and unfortunately she saw the little.print and couldnt eat some of the ingredients inside the sandwhich as she is pregnant and doesnt like certain flavors. I went back for a refund, but it couldnt be done since the [manager] was not present. I lost $12.43 dollars and I'm not going to come back for a refund tomorrow... the employees are great, but I suggest to the manager that you train your employees to give refunds for situations like these and others. That was not good customer service from the leader of the company manager. As a leader, or manager you need to be proactive to customers... 0 points for that. Employees were great though and they did the best they could. Please [train] them to do management like procedures. Thanks.
Avoid this place. Ordered two capuccino. One with an extra shot of espresso. Tasted both. Both tasted the same. Like a latte. Told them they were both the same. They offered to add a shot to one if I paid an extra 60 cents. Poor qualiy. Customer is always wrong. Couldn't help noticing only 5 star ratings have no comments. If you like good espresso products, avoid this place.
The coffee shop.is found on the main floor of Humber Hospital. To me it is better than the Tim Hortons but it is expensive. I have ordered the chai latte made with Almond milk on many occasions and it is consistently very good. Treats and muffins are too expensive. However a shot of espresso is very good. The place is Small and Busy. A little slow service. Have seen mostly 4 persons working in a very tiny area. Hospital staff are seen there most of the time. Not so much the general public.
They haven’t had regular Hot Chocolate for 2 days, coldest day of year! Ran out of butter tarts 3 days ago. No napkins in dispenser Lots of people behind counter, Just need better management. Coffee is good.
