It's pretty sad that when a child is sick, not able to even get out of bed with a high fever that a school doesn't understand. When you call in for your student, all you get is rude and unprofessional comments that are made at you. This is not the first time. The Dsbn will be hearing about this.
I've been going to this school for almost two years and I would like to say that the receptionist is very rude and has a bad attitude no matter how nice you are, in my past schools faculty members are forbidden from speaking/showing their religions hijabs and other stuff is allowed but she has a weird stone thing about Jesus and it makes me and possibly other uncomfortable.
Seems like a good school, haven't been there yet but I am excited for next year! The only thing I do not like from my one time there is the choir their singing is very screamy hopefully next year it will improve. All together 4 stars!
lots of odd people attend this school. teachers are fine for the most part but the higher up faculty could not care less about students wellbeing. instead of confronting situations, they just suspend/expel everyone whether they were guilty or not. the secretary is also incredibly rude...
I've been to four different high schools. Out of all of them, I'd say that Laura Secord is the best one. Great sense of community, easy to make friends, decent sport presence, strong academics, inclusiveness, lack of bullying, etc all make this school a great choice. To top that off, the staff are a complete and utter joy, attributing to the experience of this school. I absolutely love it here. Will undoubtedly cherish it when I leave. CAFETERIA FOOD IS A LITTLE PRICEY.
