Story

Launchpad Children's Museum was started as a project through the Junior League of Sioux City and run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Today our board works closely with families and community members in the Sioux City area. With the help of the community, Launchpad Children's Museum opened to the public on February 11, 2016.

Educational fun for all kids! There are many things for kids of all ages to do and explore. Play stations include a restaurant and ice cream stand, a building area with wood and nuts and bolts. There is a puppet stage and a play TV studio with lights and cameras. There is a farm area and a life size cow to milk! A climbing area for the older kids will burn off a lot of energy. They have a giant water table that has many boats and a fishing pond. There is a closed off area for the little ones to play without bigger kids.

We visited with a 2 and 7 year old. Both of them had a wonderful time. So many interactive areas. So much to see and do. The 7 year old asked the next day if we could go back. They have a little snack bar with drinks. Really fun place. We highly recommend it.

It is a fun children's museum with lots to do for the kids. They have lots of building opportunities, pretend play in the pizza, ice cream and grocery stores. There is a great climbing structure, farm related activities and a toddler only area. If we lived in Sioux City we would definitely frequent this place!

Great place to take kids on trips for a HUGE educational experience or just to let them wear themselves out lol!!! Love this place!

So many neat things for kids to do and learn about. Farm-to-Market displays including milking a cow, water activities, safe climbing, etc. Staff is professional, courteous, and committed. Great for a family-friendly fun day!
