I don’t normally write reviews but this food made me so sick I felt that I should share to help someone else getting sick or wasting their hard working money on this place. The wings were undercooked and if you’re expecting mild or buffalo wings.. think twice. It was a bottle of malt/ apple cider vinegar dumped into the wings mixed with a hint of something in an attempt to be call mild/ buffalo wings. This shop is a scam and cheats out of everything including the customer service. It’s over priced which makes it all not worth it. Save your money go to Stewart’s and buy a pizza and chicken tenders that have been sitting out all day — it would be way better then buy here. I promise you that you don’t want to buy nor eat here.
Beware! Cafe Lark likes to make up their own prices. They advertise their pizza prices but then try to tell you the pizzas they put out for slices are substantially bigger and cost twice as much, yet they aren’t advertised on the menu anywhere. This is extremely unprofessional and is misleading to consumers. I’d go so far as to say it’s deceptive pricing techniques. And when I brought these concerns to the staff’s attention they dismissed them and continued to try and explain their pricing strategies which they make up on a whim depending on how they feel. The pizza isn’t even good. Stay away from this place as their are many other more reputable and higher quality pizza places in the area.
The worst experience I’ve ever had. The food was subpar at most. An item was missing and when I called the restaurant they simply said “No, you’re wrong, double check your order and call us back”. After double checking and calling them once again, we are still missing an item. They then said “Okay, we’ll bring another to you”. Great! The restaurant calls back 10 minutes later to tell me “Oh! I think you’re missing this item!”… Terrible food. Terrible customer service. Not a Karen.
Their pizza used to be my absolute favorite in Albany. The dough was so airy and fluffy. Not thin at all. Not sure what has changed but their pizza is now literally paper thin. Have tried ordering from them a couple of times to see if it was just a one time thing but seems to be their new way of making their pizza. Very disappointed and no longer interested in getting my pizza from them.
Ordered pizza, pancakes, 2 ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, and a johnny boy breakfast sandwich wrap. The pizza for 10am was a little burnt but edible and the pancakes passed the preteen check. The Johnny Boy wrap was probably the messiest yet most delicious breakfast wrap I've ever had. I did put some hot sauce on it but it would have been just as good without. Definitely will order breakfast again.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich & homemade potatoes the potatoes came BURNT. I gave them the benefit of the doubt by taking a bite to see if they were still edible and they were not. The fact that someone knowingly packed this and sent it out says a lot about the morale of this place. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was ok. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat from here not only based on my experience but the others…. I wish I would have saw these reviews before ordering on doordash.
What Cafe Lark had in fast and friendly service, was sadly lost - quite badly - in the quality of their pizza. The dough was to doughy. It very nearly snapped with each bite, instead of giving me that all to familiar crunch, no matter how subtle. The plain slice was, well, plain. And the only reason the pepperoni slice had ANY flavor, was - you got it - because of the pepperoni. During the first day of Restaurant Week on Lark St., I would have like something a bit more impressive.
I don't normally leave reviews but I felt compelled to share this. The bag of chips that came with my order had mice bite marks in them. After that I couldn't stomach eating any of my order.
This place is a joke and should be ashamed of themselves. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza and 10 mild/garlic Parm wings. These were advertised as jumbo wings but I can confirm these were not in fact jumbo. In fact if I was to rate these wings on a size scale they would be more comparable to that of a dead pigeon. The wings reminded me of my childhood, but not in a good way. I remember I retreived wings like this one time in frozen aisle of price chopper and I wouldn’t be surprised if the chickens that they used to get these wings from suffered from rabies. I wish I had pictures but unfortunately I had to consume this ill product due to me suffering from hunger Unfortunately did not have a choice. I am writing this review sitting on the toilet currently exhausting my bowels of everything that I consumed in the last week by way of this monstrosity. And don’t get me started on the chicken bacon ranch pizza. The thing was swimming in so much ranch i could have thrown it a life raft. The crust was soggier then a wet cardboard box that’s been sitting out in a thunderstorm for the last 4 hours. All in all I will give the place a 0/5, I’ve had better experiences at dominoes. Good luck guys, i pray for anyone who orders from this mental asylum.
The pizza here is crazy overpriced. It's like $3 more for the same size pizza as any other pizza place. It cost $18 to get a personal sized pizza with 3 toppings. It also gave my whole family horrible indigestion. I was up the whole night after with diarrhea and the rest of my family was in the same boat. We had to fight for the bathroom.
