The Lantern Church is a place of worship in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It has a children's choir that wanders through Inglewood singing Christmas carols each year. The church rents its space to performing arts groups. The sanctuary and fellowship hall of the Lantern Church are two of the four main venues for Calgary Fringe Festival performances. The church has also hosted some of the festival's performances in the church's gym. In 2008, the Lantern Church hosted two of the festival's plays: Les Ms. and Circumference. In 2012, the organisers of the festival announced that attendance at the festival was up by 23% as compared to the previous year, a fact that the Calgary Herald attributed to the popularity of the three plays that were performed at the Lantern Church Sanctuary: She Has a Name, Loon, and The Last Man on Earth. The church also hosts events for the International Festival of Animated Objects. Brittany Robart performed at the church in 2011. The Lantern Church is the regular meeting spot of the Jr. Magic Club, a member organisation of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
