Great teaching staff but management is useless! Emails take more than two weeks for a response and they are never available on phone calls. Nobody would agree to see you in person for accounts/graduation questions and only the department that receives fee welcomes you. This college is more of a business racket than an education institute. Never going back for more education.
Honestly a nice place to be. Campus isn't huge so commuting and familiarisation within the campus is fairly quick. The campus also looks quite nice and contains a lot of greenery. My only issue is that anything student service related can be an unnecessary drag as it seems like the internal management of the college is a bit of a mess, and is probably the one thing keeping this establishment from achieving a higher degree of greatness. The rating of this review is expected to change as I spend more time within this humble establishment.
T building was organize, clean and been sanitized all touch point ,classrooms elevators and the in and out students was manifested and all recorded also the security officers are there securing that everything be in good condition and professors are always there to guide and teach with protocols to all of the students
Half the time I get good teachers, sometimes they're not so great. Campus is well maintained, and despite the fact that there is lots of seats/space, it is remarkably hard to find a decent place to study. It also seems the majority of the students are young and wealthy, and thus have very poor work ethic. So if you are clever, and not afraid to work hard, it shouldn't be difficult for you to top your classes. Tuition is extremely overpriced, but it is located in BC so what can you expect. The cafeteria is nice, but there are rarely any vegan options at all, so I don't bother with it. This is not unique to Langara, but I'd recommened also avoiding any COOP programs, it is nearly unpaid labour, and my particular COOP councillor was very rude and condecending. All in all, it's a good place to start your post-secondary education, especially if you are planning on doing a university transfer.
I complained IE office that they accept too many Indian students coming to Canada only to work , get PR and never participate in group projects so other students get bad marks. Most Indian students have like 5-8 part time jobs, work every day illegally and they sleep in class. I reported this problem to school, but they said that they know this problem but they do nothing they just accept any student for money. They never care other students who have to study and get better marks.
One of the worst ever college especially for international students because they just want your money. This college never respond to any application enquiry. They will tell you that general timeline is 4 to 6 weeks for application processing even after 12+ weeks no response from their side.
International students, beware of this college. They just take your money them don’t care about your problems. They even make problems because of their faults but they never say sorry. They are just eager to get your money.
Day courses are good. Night classes are hit or miss. But it's the history of the school that is the problem. Former Dean using a device to block cell phones. Money laundering. Do your research.
Great campus, got help finding things, a tad warm but a great place in general and can’t wait to register for classes.
Probably one of the most reputed colleges in the Vancouver Metro area..Definitely suggest getting admitted!!
