I bought my car from Richard with a warranty included. He claimed the warranty would cover any suspension or engine damage if encountered during a 3-month period. Richard seemed to be an honest and decent vendor. However, when I did face problems with the engine, it appeared that the warranty was from an insurance company and covered only exceptional crash cases. Richard said he did not expect to deal with serious repairs because it was not profitable for him. If this is not a fraud, then I don’t know what is.
I bought a 2019 Subaru Outback from Richard earlier this year. Richard is generally a personable guy and I fully trusted him to give me a good deal. In the end, I feel that I was cheated a little bit for reasons that I will list below. The vehicle was purchased at auction and was a fleet vehicle. Richard told me a specific dollar amount that he paid for the car but I do not believe that he was being honest. Fleet vehicles bought at auction go for way less than something you would find on autotrader. He also told me things such as: "I will forgo my commission on this one" and "I want just to make a thousand bucks". In retrospect, these are just simple sales tactics, and I was naive. That is on me. What kind of ticked me off was that he put on a set of cheap Ling Long Crosswind all season tires. Ling Long actually makes a set of good tires but these are not them you can read about their performance online, although it is hard to find...bad sign. The icing on the cake was when I went to have the car serviced only to find out that neither air filter had been replaced and they were absolutely filthy. I don't understand how you can claim to do an inspection on a car with 109k kms and not change the filters. They are less than $80 a piece. Further still, the rear differential fluid had not been touched. I mean, seriously? In the end, I paid way more for the car than I should have, which is partly my fault, but I genuinely trusted what Richard was telling me throughout the process. Fortunately, I like driving the car and it suits my needs. One star because of the poor inspection and dishonesty.
I purchased a pre-owned car from Lang Motor. They changed the suspension, brakes, and also did the safety certification. After 4 days, on the highway, my right front wheel jammed. It was a miracle I didn’t get into an accident. I went to a different car service where they told me that the discs and pads were Chinese. One collapsed and jammed the wheel. I'm glad I survived. It's horrible.
Very honest Very fair Very knowledgable Professional and friendly I purchased a 2004 Honda from Richard in 2016 and it is still going strong with regular synthetic oil changes and occasional replacement of old parts. Highly recommend!
Incredible dealership amazing owner, who BUYS CARS FOR HIMSELF AND SELLS FOR ABSOLUTELY OTHERS. I have a lot to share about this amazing car dealer/ mechanic shop. Other reviewers mentioned how honest and amazing Mr. Lang is, but I must add that he is quite a mysterious businessman himself. I mean, have you noticed that he has a lot more cars than he actually promote to sell? When I asked, he told me he somewhat had about 60-70 cars. But he was only selling 17 of them at the time of asking. Hmmm... mysterious! SO I dig into it, and learned that he just loves cars so so much to a point that he is hesitant to sell them. Yes, what kind of car salesman he is! Howevwe, that is the secret of his success and how I want to become one of his happy customer-friends. When he buys any used car, he buys the best quality ones that he himself would like to own. But since he would be out of business if he does not at least sell some of them, he seems to sell a few reluctantly. In other words, his loss is our great gain. How can you not love a car salesman like Mr. Richard Lang. I would never go to another large named dealers but Lang Motors, because I know when I drive out one of his cars Richard will be jealous of me having to now own his car. I highly recommend him/his car collections. You will not regret.
These people are not worth the risk. They do terrible work and are not able to stand behind the product or their workmanship. Terrible customer care and the place is a dump. You can see that my experience was unpleasant and I'm glad there is an alternative. PPF was done to my car, and it was a terrible mistake. When I went back to warranty their work, they claimed that they hadn't done the work. They also suggested that somebody else had. STAY AWAY!
Richard was honest, kind, transparent and very helpful with purchasing my first car :! I definitely recommend him to all my friends and family!
Lang Auto is taking care of my 1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. I would highly recommend them as reputable exotic automotive business.
Excellent service. Very personable. I purchased my used vehicle from here 2 years ago and though I'm from out of town I still find it a huge advantage to deal with a small dealer in the same make.
This is a fake company that offers car services! Beware! There are many ways to lose money or get a car that is not working.
