Best theatre in the city. So sad to see it's closed... It says temporary though... I wonder when it'll reopen and will it still be the same Towne 8 we all know and love?
Mainly the only theater I've been too. I love how it's downtown. I miss towne 8 being open ! Please open again
This is probably the weirdest and authenticts movie nostalgia feeling I got for a long time. Why? The ticket was super cheap which makes this affordable to a lot of people and despite the low price, they have plenty of screens, super picture quality in the one I was in and the audio was good too. It looks old-school but hey that only makes if more authentic.
BEST POPCORN IN WINNIPEG. no other theatre can compete. Friendly and staff who uphold the movie lovers experience and the tickets are only 5 bucks and 20 cents. Not bad compared to other theatres. Gotta love their free refill if you buy the large drink and popcorn, As long as you’re a member with landmark extras. Which is pretty easy to register a card if you know what your doing. Definitely will be coming back.
The building might be old, but the theatres are in great shape, screens are a nice size, the sound systems are very well calibrated to the size of the room. The ticket pricing is affordable! Street level parking is only 2 hours on the closest streets, so if you are going for a weekday matinee, you might have to walk a bit from a 3 hour zone or park in one of the private parking lots around
sad to hear that the place is temporarily closed due to staffing problems seeing as how there are so many people looking for work and when it was open it was a nice place to visit for a matinee, it's sad to hear that the place is now up for sale and is permantly closed
I was...looking forwarding to coming back to this theater After seeing the reviews still hasn't changed. I hope to the very near future they renovate the whole theater. Upgrade everything As its fine time to do so. They have a excellent manager maybe not to much of the staff? Once they get the ball rolling it will be a place for everybody to enjoy.
Prices are pretty low at this movie theater. However if you drive to this location you must pay for parking because it is downtown after all. The location overall is pretty clean, but the bathrooms are in the basement. They also happen to be a little old school, and run down.

Bunch crybabies on here bathrooms are not the cleanest use your own washroom the building is run down the building is fine place is great quit your Bitchin
