First time there in 30 years. The park has certainly changed. The lake has been cleaned up. The beach is pristine. The Jube is still there and is a really nice restaurant. The whole park is gorgeous. A new children's playground is there. Beautiful convention Centre there as well.
Oshawa Lakefront Beach is stunning. There if a free parking lot but come early as this place can get busy. It is well maintained by the city of Oshawa for the amount of traffic people that travel through here .. The beach is only one of the great features at the Lakeview Park - There is a nice paved path for walking, jogging, biking ... which takes you to all the other great things this park has to offer for example the Pier, the Park filled with picnic benches and shelters from the sun. There is little food vendors throughout the park and few dock like gazeboes that poke out for a beautiful view of the lake and park. In addition to the beautiful scenery there is a lot of history to be seen and learn while visiting. Morning sunrise you are in the perfect spot here to capture those breathing taking shots! Note ... there is a lot of free parking set out in the different locations of the Oshawa Lakeview if the parking lot is full. Don't leave keep looking! ;
One of the best places to relax and collect your thoughts. There is a parking lot right at the edge of the beach that is perfect to relax with a coffee and take in the beautiful blue water and sunshine. Also you can walk end to end for a 1.4 km scenic walk.
Lakeview park beach in Oshawa is an all weather wonder with a family friendly vibe. It's ideal for a photowalk, evening stroll, and just musing near the clear water. An added bonus is to go there and experience the freezing winds and icy waters. The crowd is extremely less on odd days and weekends, so if solitude and uninterrupted photowalk is all you seek, opt for an odd day. The beach also has a huge park and the place has an old charm with a museums nearby. Also, there's a huge park nearby which tuns into a snow sports arena after a good snow day or a snow storm
Amazing beach and suitable for all. There are small kind if island that you can spend sometime, lots of stuff for kids. I would recommend everyone to go at least once.
What a beautiful spot for summer. Nice sandy beach, clean water, close to the parking. We came really early so were able to score a nice parking spot. The parking lot was full by 11 AM It is a busy place but not overwhelmingly croweded. Lot of people brought their dogs, definetly a dog friendly place.
Great place to take my granddaughter. Large splash pad and a beautiful clean beach. Be sure to bring an umbrella or beach shelter, very little shade available at the beach. Potable water available to refill water bottles a big plus.
I had a beautiful time walking along the beach and up to the water with my husband We had a great time but the water was disgusting! I do have.a photo of the water that day, it was green. I will post when I find it: Beautiful walk and something to do if you are bored
Its a beautiful park to have a picnic and spend time with friends and family. Sandy beach along with the park. Big splash pad and playground. Playground for younger kids is separate, which lets them play safely. Lots of picnic benches and lovely view of the lake. The park was very crowded on Sunday, amd washrooms were just about ok. Multiple parking lots but mostly all were full.
Lakeview park beach in Oshawa is Beautiful, life guards on duty on weekends. Highly recommended for grandparents with grandchildren. There is stunning water parks, mini museum, picnics grounds, baseball and soccer field near by. Must visit once.
