We provide a Christ-centered education (K-12) that will equip students academically, socially, physically, and spiritually, to love and serve God.
Killarney Christian Academy was organized in 1980 by a group of parents who believed that biblical truths and prayer were a vital part in their children’s education. KCA was started and is still operating as an independent Christian school. They receive a fraction of the government educational grant, and therefore rely on tuition and donations to keep the school operating. As an independent school they still must adhere to all Manitoba Education curriculum guidelines.
KCA opened its doors and started classes in the basement of Lakeview Community Church in September of 1981 as a non-denominational school. In 1988 the school separated into two groups, and the first group moved to 237 Hammond Street, keeping the name of KCA. The second group remained in the church basement and took the new name of Lakeside Christian School. After four years apart the two schools reconciled and in 1992 they joined together at the Hammond Street location under the banner of Lakeside Christian School. As the K-8 enrollment grew, the school added a third classroom, expanded to include high school, and presently supports three full time teachers and several support staff.
