Most incompetent excuse for a hospital in the interlake. I went to Ashern for a blood clot, Dr. Chumber sent me to selkirk for a CT scan despite me telling him that I am pregnant. When I got to selkirk, they had no idea about me even coming and were not told that I was pregnant. Was suppose to get a sick note faxed to my work but it never got done. I'd rather travel to stonewall or selkirk then to ever set foot in this joke of a hospital again.
Don’t waste your time Faster and less frustrating to drive to a real hospital in Winnipeg. I literally drove to the city and back after visiting a walk in clinic in less time than I sat in Ashern waiting to be seen.
Cruel care and inhumane treatment. I dislocated my knee in july and they made me sit in the waiting room overnight with it dislocated until morning, 11 hours it was out of place, i wasnt given anything to eat for breakfast or lunch, then when the doctor did come in, he grabbed my still out of place kneecap and pressed his fingers into the muscle to “see if it hurt” i also wasnt given my phone to arrange for a ride, with my mom, who apparently showed up repetedly to talk and i wasnt told nor did they pass any information between the two of us. Likely will be going to the health authority with this
Hardly ever doctors in. What are hospitals for? There should be doctors on hand, multiple doctors. And everyone of the staff and nurses are rude and dont care. The doctors seem like they have no clue what their doing IF they are even in. Takes hours to get in, over 5 hours. What if someone dies in the waiting room? Its cause no doctors are ever there. This hospital is a joke. Needs new doctors and staff that their first priority is the patients and the well being of them. Better off going to the damn vet clinic by how horrible this hospital is. When i was in for a broken pelvis, i had money in my bra over 100 dollars and they took all of it and only gave me back 5 dollars. Het i have insurance to pay for everything. They stole my money. Dont ever go to this hospital
Quick service. Generaly go from admitting to doctor or bed in 45 min or less. Good staff though they are over worked with the doctor shortage. Safe facility and clean. It's a small town hospital so amenities are few and far between but they will get you better and get you home asap. Solved my wife's fatigue issues anemia and my mother nasuea ruptured gall bladder in under 2 hours and had treatment being arranged.
