Waited 2 hours in ER with a 6-month baby having viral flu and non-stop crying. The whole ER room was seeing us struggling with the crying baby. The cold blooded lady in the reception said “i didn’t hear any crying”. This is her exact words “you have been waiting only 2 hours. Usually people wait 4 hours so wait 2 more hours”. It’s not about emergency, critical or someone dying. They just have to make everyone wait 4 hours minimum. We would have waited the time if the attitude was right. You can’t handle a tax paying person like this.
After vomiting 5–10 times, I decided to go to the ER.nnThen I saw more than 30 people on the waiting list.nnMy first thought was:nn“Maybe I’ll just go home and see if I survive.”nnA few hours later, I woke up feeling much better.nnSomehow, I actually survived.nnThank God.
Dr t Chung and dr Murray are the best doctors in the oshawa emergency room. Both have compassion, empathy and makes you feel like you are being cared fornnMany nurses in unit 5 are also caringnEspecially Georgia, Tiffany cailghly and many morennThank you
If I can give zero to this emergency hospital I would have. This is a zoo not a hospital. Emergency Doctor !!! even worse. It feels like you are at McDonald, I couldn’t believe my eyes, blood work is taking by a nurse who runs a blood test on wheel , like an uber nurse , she comes where you sit and take your blood. Washrooms that are very messy and full of pee on the floor, even emergency room had pee that no one came to clean it . I was there for 5 hours and it was most horrible experience that I ever had. Dr ordered all kind of tests, to come and tell me nothing is wrong. I didn’t even want to go through these kind of test but they put you on the spot and freek you out and tell you, DR. so and so this Dr that I dealt with is another horrible story ordered it because he feels it is necessary and needs to be done , the man didn’t even check me to order all that. Waste of our tax money and people’s time during sickness. Definitely needs attention and will never go there again,
if i could give a zero I would. I went there on SUNDAY night recently and am living with not one but 3 life threatening termina illnesses, It was with disgust that I was kept in emergency the entire time ....for 30 hrs as there were NO BEDS ...I was placed in zone 4 with medical observation patients in a room of such beside a woman who was clearly in mental health distress and had several security guards ...and across from my room was a seclusion area for patients of even more concern....I had several procedures done which i did appreciate but felt unsafe in that area of emergency. The point is while there I was only kept on fluids which in fact I could have dealt with at home....After 30 hrs I was told I was able to go home around 5 pm and then all of a sudden I was manhandled by a young male transfer person and stated to yank me up and apparently take me to another room in emerg ....I unwillingly went and when I got there G1 or something...I WAS SCHOCKED. It was an old part of the hospital on mainfloor i believe called ...It was filthy, lower beds fromm yrs ago, washroom quite far away and several cramped folks in there.Seriously,it was disgusting and you would not want any of your family placed there,,,,I said I was NOT staying and asked to see the dr and they said, would not happen ...I proceeded to take out the IV and got dressed and left and they just stared at me...BUTTTT THE CHARGE NURSE made sure I signed a form that I left a against their advise,,,,I had known them 5 minutes,,,,,lol...I got a cab and came home ...seriously I appreciated the tests but could feed myself fluids at home ...I am the navigator of my own body and will make decisions but appreciate the advice from others....Please be very aware of the care of your loved ones at this hospital or any hospital and please refuse placement in the two areas of the hospital i just mentioned zone 4--- patient observation area with mental health patients there as you are not in a safe evironment and in G1,,,first floor old part of the hospital from decades ago,,,,it is so gross and no nearby washroom and decrepit beds,etc.....advocate better for your loved ones.....
