The house is a solid 8 out of 10, but you can see where there are some corners cut. The front-end customer service is terrific. Trish is friendly to deal with but doesn’t control the end that matter most. As much as I feel the builder wants to live up to their promises, their subcontractors and tradespeople are letting them down. A little bit is missing on the attention to detail and follow-through when correcting poor craftsmanship. It has been a year since the final inspection when we reported deficiencies and missing fixtures, with some issues remaining unresolved. Most of which we have take upon ourselves to fix; however, after living through our first winter, we can honestly say that the home’s thermal envelope is a 7 out of 10. Hot and cold spots due to defective windows and minimum ceiling insulation. It had taken over a month to contend with a cracked window after the first winter caused one to crack. Would I contract them to build our final forever home from blueprints? It depends on the quote I guess, and how much I want to be involved in overseeing the workmanship. The builder is very close to being a 9 out of 10 if their repair crew was as responsive as their front-end customer support. They charge a premium for a near-perfect home; it is a situation where support falls short after the funds are transferred.Service: Luxury home building
