Lakeview Catering provides a world-class experience. The quality of food and service was awe-inspiring. I recently held an event in Saranac, and guests had arrived from different parts of the country. Each guest commented on how impressed they were with Lakeview. Lakeview hired a fantastic bartender for our event. Several guests were from NYC and had access to excellent cocktails, but they could not stop raving about how great a bartender Lakeview had provided. We're already working on our next event planned for Saranac, and we're excited to work with Lakeview again!
If you are trying to decide on a wedding caterer, just hire Katy and her team!! My husband and I cannot say enough good things about having Katy's team catering for our wedding. First of all, the food was amazing and you can't say that about a lot of weddings. We did buffet style but everything was fresh and delicious, we got a lot of compliments on the food both during and in the weeks and months following our wedding. Second of all the service, I truly feel like Katy and her entire team went above and beyond. From setting up the tables to having a glass of champagne ready for my husband and I after the ceremony to dealing with the 800 kinds of wine we had bought for the bar, they truly made our wedding day SO special and easy. Katy's experience in planning was clear as she ensured we didn't miss a single detail in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Not only that, but she and each one of her amazing team members was so incredibly sweet. We still talk about our wedding food 10/10 recommend the butternut squash ravioli and scalloped potatoes! and hope to get future anniversaries catered to keep remembering it by!
This is a Saranac Lake staple! All of the soups and salads are hand made with a perfected recipe. Every sandwich is a creation with that certain 'je ne sais quoi.' And to top off the in store service their catoring is mouthwatering and incredible! The deli catered my wedding!! Absolutely divine.
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, awesome selections and specials! Only offering window service at this time but that was not an issue with their quick service and great pastrami special.Food: 5/5
This place was BUSY! There is a small parking lot and a bunch of street parking. Due to COVID they take your order at the outside window. They have a wide variety of sandwich, soup and side options. It took about 5-10 minutes to get my order. While I was waiting several people came and picked up a phone order which I will do next time! I had a 12" chicken salad sub, and WOW it was amazing. The bread was super fresh as we're all the insides!! The limited staff interaction I had was good! Will definitely make this my go to stop after a hike!!
As a local, I have been eating sandwiches from Lakeview Deli for years and they have always been really good. This has kept me coming back. Something has changed. I usually order an Italian hoagie on toasted gluten free bread with the works because it was always generous in portions and delicious! Not anymore. The last 3 times I have ordered the same sandwich, the quality has gone down each time: less meat, smaller bread slices, smaller portions, fewer ingredients and no flavor. Today was the last straw. I know they were busy on a Saturday with the boat race going on in town, but there is no excuse for a sandwich that was dry no mayo, no oil, no Italian dressing, no banana peppers after I asked for “the works”. There was hardly any meat between the bread, about a third of previous portions. The sandwich was extremely subpar. Others in my party has similar complaints about their sandwiches. I know that inflation has eaten the profits of many businesses, but I’d rather pay more for the better sandwich I was accustomed to. I will no longer be going to Lakeview Deli.
Placed an order on the phone and they said the order would take 45 minutes. One hour later we get our food after seeing new people get their food first…not sure how this is fair.. Always enjoy the sandwiches but not the time waiting for it.
I stop here every time I go to saranac lake camping. Typically they are on the ball. The last time however was a classic screw up. I ordered a sandwich for my self and a turkey club for my wife. Her sandwich had a bunch of tunafish in it. She was hungry and ate it. So from now on I am going to ask them to unwrap it and show me the sandwich before I pay for it . For christ sake they still don't allow people inside.
What is going on with this place, i went to college in saranac lake and would go to the deli 2-3 times a week, hands down the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, Now I live an hour away and stroll thru on my way to lake placid I always check the website on my way and it’s says their open but upon arriving my last 10-12 times they have their daily specials posted on the windows but are never open, doors locked, blinds in windows shut….I miss this place, are they only open for catering now?
Reuben was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend! Was disappointed with the toasted bagel with butter and cream cheese. Not the friendliest service
