This is the first time my hubby and I have camped @ Lake George, this place was great! I guess it all depends where your site is, there are some sites that are right next to route 9, and I would have hated that, we had site 067, it was perfect, the shade to sunlight ratio was perfect, it was clean, a path directly to the bathrooms and showers, a fire pit, (it was broken) but it added to the rustic look :) the bathrooms were clean, except for your normal spiders and such. I highly recommend this place, also so you know, some great sites are 067, 058, 19 & 20! Happy camping!

The campground itself is worthy of just one star but the location is worth five stars, hence my three star rating. You can walk to Lake George in 2 minutes while a 5 minute walk gets you to the downtown area. Of course, this proximity to both comes at a price: minuscule sites with lots of road noise and rowdy campers.

Nice and perfect location to everything, beach, downtown. some of the campsites are not in good shape!!! we had site #59 and it was great! i would say 30% of the sites need improvements! But overall very nice area.

Perfect location. Walking distance to beach and downtown area. About a 10min walk. Right across from a diner, laser tag, bowling, and arcade. Sites are nice sized and shaded. Some are under pine trees with sap. 1-6 are very close to main road so I would avoid those. 1-6 bathhouse was old and small but clean enough. The main bathhouse was clean and nice. Showers were large and private. Decently clean.

Nice atmosphere, close to beach restaurants and bars. Value for money.
