I broke my damn foot.nI received prompt and excellent care from the doctors and staff. Everyone was very friendly and expressed sympathy for my injury.nForms, exam, X-rays and diagnosis, all done in under an hour.nI know I got lucky with timing, but on this weekday afternoon, there was nobody waiting ahead of me.nAll this was arranged by a phone call to Island Health, who called around on my behalf to find a hospital or urgent care that wasn’t busy.nAs Americans, we were beyond impressed.nThank you Ladysmith Hospital for making the best of a lousy situation.
lol took forever and seemed to insist that any vomiting is caused by weed. When I injured myself Then overexerted myself Then overexerted myself again and went to the doctors when I overrated myself for a second time and won’t stop puking The second time I didn’t exert myself that much I like the first time, but I was puking from migraines stomach, cramps, and back pain that was giving me stomach cramps Since I pulled something in my back and puking my guts out every time I exerted myself Since I didn’t give myself any time to rest and recover. But the nurses and staff are friendly a bit too friendly Considering the amount of time they spend talking about their weekend. but they’re very friendly and 10 times better than anybody else in the area that I’ve been to, which isn’t a compliment
I found all the staff very friendly and helpful. Dr Ryan was awesome. I was amazed at how well oiled their machine was. I am sure there a days when this client is overwhelmed but they are doing an awesome job
A loved one of mine came in for a cat bite but fainted from the IV. The nurse took such good care of him. She let us stay until he was feeling well enough to walk out and never made us feel rushed.
Does a 'triage' system but neglects to even check the blood results to indicate patient well being. Absolutely atrocious, my son was in severe DKA and we sat for 7 hours before finally driving to another hospital where they realized that the blood that was taken at ladysmith should have prompted an immediate urgent patient transfer via ambulance to an equipped emergency unit. Now they refuse to release the blood tests we had done that morning, and they've given us the run around about how to obtain them. Absolutely negligent. Urgent care wasn't overly busy when we got there and in the seven hours we were there, we saw ONE patient get seen. We did get to hear ALL about the doctor's weekend though, as he chatted up the nurses.nI have been trying endlessly to obtain these test results, and I was just screamed at by the records clerk- she was furious that I would be seeking data that we are evidently entitled to. This place is a dark joke. I have taken my kids here and we are always with the exception of one time when my youngest needed stitches deferred to an actual hospital.
