Went with my grandfather. We got the fish and chips and the fisherman's sandwich with a ceasar salad. The service was fast and friendly. Their location is now where the KFC used to be.
My husband and I decided to go out for breakfast this morning to the Lady's Slipper Café. This was the first time we went to the new location and we love it! All the windows make the interior so much brighter. Our breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner, Caesar and his spouse Heather, are very welcoming and enjoying their new location.
Great home-made food, good prices, nice staff, friendly atmosphere. Closes at 2:00 so no dinner service. Good location.Food: 5/5
Nice friendly spot with a large menu. They have a variety of sandwiches, poutines, salads and all day breakfast. It's pretty affordable and there's menu items for just about anyone. The service is always great, food comes out relatively quickly though they can get quite busy during the lunch hour. Would love to see them open some evenings in the winter, though I get that it's not for everyone. There just aren't many options around and you have to catch this spot by 3:00pm.
Really great spot to get breakfast or lunch, id highly recommend the cubano sandwich, staff are also very friendly and quick to refill coffee, the only thing keeping this restaurant from getting 5stars is the wait time after ordering. A 35-40 minute wait has been the average time for a table of 2, in my experience. Overall, if you are looking for a quality breakfast or lunch, and dont mind a wait, this is the place to go!
Potatoes were not seasoned like by someone else mentioned,eggs tasted almost like powdered egg. We asked for extra crispy bacon and they gave us almost raw. Overall I don't think we'll ever visit again.
Service was OK and waitress was sweet, but the quality of the food was very low for the price paid. Lots of clients seemed to be regulars encouraging the local restaurant. With that said, if you're visiting and looking for something with a bit more quality, don't go there.
I don't care about the bad reviews because this was honestly the best most friendly place I've been to. They've served my grandparents for a while and take very good care of my grandpa. The most friendly staff I've met in a very long time. If I lived here I would go as much as my grandpa just because of the service. It's another thing to also have the best breakfast I've had in quite some time. All the best to everyone there and thank you so much for taking care of my grandparents and now my grandfather. Thank you from all the jarvis family.
Always loved going to the lady's slipper, it's a great spot for brunch and everyone knows it...that's why they're always so busy! Plan some extra time for a bit of a wait on the food, it's worth it. Vegetarian options: Fruit bowl, oatmeal and salads available, possibly more. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids menu options such as pancakes, waffles, and a tiny version of their classic breakfast, as well as drink options and kind staff. No coloring books or crayons. Washrooms close by. Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Many handicapped parking spots near entrance, however a double set of doors may be difficult to navigate without a helping hand.
