Save yourself some time and belittlement, go to Red Deer. I had a portfolio of other important paper work. I was getting a new drivers license and had produce birth certificate and an Alberta health card. The agent wanted me to surrender the Alberta Health card in my important papers folder. Her eyes should have been kept from wondering. In reality they didn’t know what was in my portfolio! They flag my file for 2 Health cards. They would not renew my drivers license and told me never to return. It took the manager of another agency to get the flag off and renew my drivers license.
Cathy at the front desk is AMAZING! I highly, highly recommend going to talk to her. She is able to explain so much and get you on the right track with any questions you have. Thank you so much Cathy
I had to go there to renewal my plates. The Karin behind the counter needs some serious customers traingen. The name Karin is extremely insulting to anyone who is named Karin. This female doesn't let people speak and listen is a skill she hasn't heard off. Put that together with a big narcissist ego and you have the perfect example of their customers service. Now you would think that I would have a grudge against her but no. Go there and you will find out for yourself.
I have been twice in the past few months and have been blown away by how efficient, well mannered, and friendly everyone is here! This is a long one however a well deserved review that I hope anyone who walks through those doors can consider when they are stuck in line for a long time or think things are taking longer than they should.nnI want to especially recognize Cathy! She was by far the greatest help to me when jumping through all the hoops Canada has to offer! She was very friendly and made you feel extremely valued! She also knows her stuff extremely well and you can tell by how effortlessly she moves through the various hoops. Today, I came in to get do a searingly simple and basic thing. One thing led to another and Cathy and I were on hold for over an hour with a Canadian government agency of some sort. She was cordial, polite and professional the entire time! Once they answered, she was ON IT!!! Buzzing around and making sure everything was taken care of and done right the first time! I say this because there was a long line that she had to see grow and shrink as her colleagues worked their way through helping each and every person there. That can be daunting yet she was calm and impressively composed despite the situation. I am thoroughly impressed and I hope this review makes you think twice if you are ever waiting for longer than you expected/hoped. Time can’t be stopped, however we can make the most of what we are given and Cathy did that and more!
I had the unpleasant experience of being privy to a phone conversation between my friend and her minor child while that child was in your business. And I must say, the way you spoke to that child and the mother is absolutely appalling and disgusting. Not only was your attitude and tone, completely unwarranted disrespect, but to then cut them both off and interrupt them several times? How do you actually speak to people like that and feel good about it? Especially children that are brand new to this and trying to navigate the world. But I am willing to bet that had that child spoke to you in that manner. I’m sure you would’ve had a lot to say. Future parents, just a word of caution, take your kid else where. Because if that’s how they spoke to a minor child while the mother could hear, I can only imagine what they’re like when a parent can’t. If you hate your job to the point that you are unjustly treating people that way, maybe it’s time you got a new one.
