It's a nice pool, we enjoy the hot tub and the kids pool with toys. The staff have always been helpful and professional. I usually find it fairly clean and not too busy. I also see a lot of seniors enjoying the aquatic workout in the evenings.nnFriday and Saturday evenings they typically have wibit which is essentially a giant blow up obstacle course to maneuver over. My kids love this, I'd recommend age 6 and up as it can be tricky.nnWe have likely gone about 25 times since we moved here in 2021 and a much as we're grateful for this pool, I personally think the city of Lacombe would benefit from a few additional things being added to our pool and rec centre. A waterslide, kids aquatic playground and sauna would be amazing. A walking/running track and attached small workout facility. Even a small indoor kids place to play for winter months.nnIt seems great for a large town and a bit basic for a city.
This is a good venue, but so hot on a warm summer day in the Curling Club Lounge.
10/10 Would recommend, I’m pleased the chlorine does not burn my eyes, nostrils, and skin. Thanks Lacombe
I would not recommend putting your child in swimming lessons here. Every instructor has a different expectation of the children in their class. Despite my child showcasing the skills required on the “swim report” to pass which I witnessed as I attended every lesson the instructor failed my son, and every other child in the class. This to me demonstrates a lack of skill with teaching. When I approached the instructor and supervisor about my concern, I was told that it was up to the individual instructor and then I was made to wait an hour before I finally got an answer regarding whether my son’s last swimming lesson was taken into consideration on his swim report as they prepare the evaluations ahead of the last lesson. Needless to say I will not be registering my son in Swim for Life Lessons at the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre again.
the lifeguards are all such cutie patooties. i wish they did meet & greets
