I can’t thank the nurses/ doctors enough at the Lacombe emergency department. Our two year old son had a severe allergic reaction and they got us in and taken care of right away. It was a very scary experience but they made us feel like we were in great hands from the moment we walked in the door! Thank you all so much.
I fell off a 12' ladder onto concrete floor.. I drove myself from the job site to lacombe hospital.. driving was agony, but when I arrived I was treated with such compassion. I've broken myself before, but I knew I was broken.. well ribs right side.. but not the parts that would stop me.. I said I'm sorry for screaming so many times.. lol I'm a farmer, I've been through some stuff.. when I was shipped off to red deer hospital via ambulance.. they thought I needed a little more checking.. this hospital should be equipped with similar abilities of red deer.. their concern for the injured made me feel safe, in good hands. They need to be equipped with more items to help relieve the pressure on red deer.. because when I got to red deer and they did a simple CT I was not in life threatening.. I could of easily not been left in a room in red deer. The pain hit and I wanted to leave.. and I did red deer hospital needs staff.. I was screaming and only after I ask a orderly for a pad and walked myself to the bathroom screaming from ribs I got some looks.. I said take these 2 ivs out or I will.. I'm leaving.. 35 mins left on a back board after falling into concrete floor.. lacombe hospital by far has better care for those who actually need it.. red deer hospital will forget you are there.. its been 35 days since my fall.. I only now can walk, driving still hurts. Thank you lacombe hospital, you are awesome in critical care, you need equipment so you can keep providing awesome care
Got told repeatedly to take myself to red deer next time. To begin with I didn’t even want to go to this hospital but was forced to by the ambulance drivers. Then when waiting for my ride at 2 am they insisted I get out of the bed and wait in the waiting room while still violently ill. 0/10
Waited 5.5 hours, just to be told by the doctor they are not equipped to deal with whats causing my pain. Kinda pathetic that the establishment doesnt know what they are equipped to deal with and will let people wait for a long time just to let them go.
Laziest ER nurses ever. All they do is chat with each other. If interrupted for something medical then act like the world is guna end. Alberta health Care at its finest
